Surprised that there wasn’t a queue and I understand why after tasting it. The two pieces of pork ribs in the $4 bowl were almost all bones and the little meat left on them were hard and had the bad porky smell 臭猪味. There were also two prawns and some kang kong. Soup was OK but I thought it was quite normal. Sellers were friendly and e-payment was available.

Came here half an hr before lunch time and was surprised that there was no queue. Ordered 5 bucks worth of prawn only beehoon. There were 4 huge prawns and ample amount of beehoon to fill my tummy! The soup was quite thick with a strong taste of prawns. Really liked the soup but it was not piping hot. Was only warm... better if they can do piping hot soup.

Kway Teow Prawn (+ Pork Ribs) Mee Soup. The prawn noodle that formed the foundation of my love towards prawn noodles has reopened! Previously Joo Chiat Prawn Mee was located in Onan road before moving to Carpmael road has now found home within Ayer Rajah Food Centre. The stall owner had previously closed the shop more than 5 years ago to take care of her husband and I have missed it since. If you find the broth to be similar to the other famous prawn noodle shops, well, they are relatives of beach road prawn mee, jalan sultan prawn mee and blanco prawn mee. This one however takes the first prize for me.

Nice bowl of prawn mee, the soup is especially flavourful.
For a $6 bowl, the portion was rather generous!

Very decent bowl of prawn noodles starting at $4. For that price, you get 2 decent size prawns and some pork ribs.
Soup is very robust with a balance of prawn and pork flavor.
I personally prefer the dry version as the noodles comes sambal chili, pork lard. Add the chili powder to enhanced the taste even more.
This stall put a lot of “famous” prawn noodles to shame as they charge ridiculous prices and deliver low quality items.

One of our family's favourites.
The noodle was a standard fare. The prawns were fresh while the pig's tail was so tender that it almost fall off the bone. The broth was robust and full of crustacean flavor.

Been esting this since young when they were at onan road.
Was lost when they closed down, very happy to see that they have reopened and the robust flavours are still the same. Hi
