Overpriced ramen, soup is thin, noodles a little too soft, and in general just not very good. Ordered the medium karamiso, and as with some others who posted here, was asked whether to upgrade to their kurobuta, or to add on an egg. It is crazy that the basic ramen doesn't have any egg. Considering the stiff competition for ramen in Singapore, it just sounds so absurd. I had a few miserable strands of pork in my bowl...which tasted hard and chewy. Considering you can buy sushi/sashimi from the supermarket section and bring here to the foodhall area to eat, that would be my recommendation. Santouka had better buck up if they want to survive

Certainly a passable ramen, even if its not the best I've ever eaten. 13 bucks ++ for the basic ramen, without egg, but with chashu at least. The soup is fine, but a little thin; and the noodles are again acceptable, if nothing spectacular. The premium options are pretty expensive, setting you back a solid 25 - 30 dollaroos for a premium ramen with aged iberico pork. All in all, certainly an option if you're lassing by City Square and Donki and craving ramen, but don't expect greatness.

Soup is quite bland and thin. It was 12.90++ which is okay for ramen but considering it doesnt contain egg its really quite ex. But it has charsiu at least. Soup is not the worst but could have more umami, but still blends nicely with the noodles which are also on the chewy side which is alright

Tucked inside City Square Mall in the basement, inside DonDon Doki, there is a small eatery. Here it is. The famous Santouka. They are running a Spicy Toroniku Shio Ramen promotion. You can get an M sized ramen for 30% off! Really worth it. The soup base is very delicate. Not too salty but really flavourful. Full of oomph. The noodles are cooked el dante which is just nice for me. Not too chewy yet springy with every bite. The star of the show is actually the Toroniku chashu. There are really like the toro tuna. Very soft and almost melt in your mouth. They are fatty like the tuna and can be a mouthful. It is said that every pig only has a small sized of this Toroniku which makes it very rare and exclusive. It’s a must try. This is by far one of my favourite among my ramen crave.

The broth for Hokkaido ramen tends to be more flavourful & salty in taste. The noodles matched the thick broth and the slices of pork cheek meat were moist, soft & the fatness melted in your mouth.

Been supporting Santouka ever since they came to Singapore years ago, having started at Cuppage Terrace, and moved a few times since. I was pretty sure their shio ramen (pictured) is the same as the flagship one with pork jowl (with the amount/ type of pork being the only difference). So, I ordered the former as I was more greedy than hungry, and was left a little disappointed at first. The ramen itself without slurping the soup at the same time was a tad bland (by their usual standards) but having the ramen with some soup in a spoon made all the difference. Maybe it's just me, or a one off. Still a good bowl of ramen I'll say.

One of the best Ramen I ever had. Been to Singapore and USA Santouka. I would say their recipe is really consistent and taste as good. Am happy to see another store branched at City Square Mall basement. A must try ramen, their broth is really good. Would visit again when I return to Singapore. 👍🏻

Pretty average. Ordered the Kara Spicy Ramen as I wanted a good spicy ramen fix. Not too bad. Service was below average though and with constant upselling which was unusual. I asked for Kara Spicy Ramen (medium), and asked to upsize to their main signature dish. Then after declining, I was asked if I wanted any sides including any eggs. Generally okay, but I felt that the server host was getting upset that I didn't want to upgrade, which soured the mood when ordering. Also realised that the default ramen doesn't come with any egg, not even half an egg which was surprising to me.
