A better than average plate of CKT. The old gentleman has been frying for decades and you could see how he expertly fries the noodles. Basic ingredients such as fish cakes, beansprout, egg and cockle. The dish lacks the wok-hei though it was well fried. He seemed very advanced in age and probably would do it for too long.

Excellent CKT. A lot of wok hei but not over-charred noodle. The pork lard and hum, heavenly. Regretted, should have order larger plate. Most important, no queue. Super friendly aunty & uncle. Will be back.

Nice👍🏻 little oily but still nice. Also a nice pit stop if you are driving and prefer a quiet coffeeshop. Not many similar survival now when coffeeshops were selling in $40m range.

Heavy wok hey char kuey teow. It’s a very bold statement but I’m confident that this is the best char kuey teow you can find in Singapore. Give it a try before the uncle decided not to continue his legacy anymore. Really worth it. 2021 May Menu Update Below, Fried Carrot Cake: $3/4/5 Fried Kway Teow: $3/4/5 Fried Hokkien Mee: $3/4/5

The best char kway teow I knew was long gone. It was served at a coffee shop 月兰亭by the old Odeon cinema. The Sheng Cheng proprietor is 70 years old. He probably had tasted the 月兰亭 char kway teow in his youth, for the char kway teow he dishes out are just like the 月兰亭version. Lots of garlic, lots of lard and just a little sweet soy source. The texture and aroma of the kway teow is just right. A pity he couldn't use the large cockles like years before. They are just too expensive. But one can find plenty of them, just slightly cooked. It's a rare find.
