The Tiny Roaster

Had their sugar and spice 8oz latte. A sweet caramel banana cake aroma with a spicy note. The latte was sweet creamy and pudding like notes from start to finish. Well done! The only reason it got 3 stars is that I have paid from plain water which is free in most cafes and essential in places like this for cleansing the palate before tasting coffee.

Cafe lives up to its name - Tiny. Limited seating all around, and even the chairs tend to be small (relative to my posterior). It isn't an issue though, because it's rarely ever crowded. The coffee here is excellent! Gimmicky too; ice latte comes with a frozen espresso ball. UPDATE: apparently the joint is closing pretty soon!

Quaint little specialty coffee place tucked away in Sunset Way estate's "town" center. Pretty good single origin offerings. If you order their filter brew's, you can sit at the bar counter and watch the barista brew your order in front of you. Wished the baristas engaged customers a bit more, tell us more about the beans or demystify filter brewing vs espresso based drinks. Maybe they're shy.

A quaint little find in the neighbourhood. They take their coffee seriously and serve a good pour. Love their iced coffee where the coffee is frozen into ice cubes and milk is poured over - making the ice coffee as the coffee melts ! A tad pricey I thought, so not your daily cuppa. But nice for a hit once in awhile.

Comfy cafe in this nostalgic neighbourhood. Wide selection of roasted & green beans. Good selection of brew styles. Very limited seating inside with generous al fresco table & chairs sheltered from the elements. For the uninitiated, this is a serious caffe place. Its not one for your afternoon pastry or eggs ben fix.
