Stewords Riverboat

The Mississippi boat looked beautiful as we approach it. It was moored, and swaying gently. Every time a tugboat passed by, it rocked a bit more. Was seasick once we stepped aboard. Easily the most uncomfortable boat experience we had, but gradually felt better after popping the pills we requested from a staff. Food was average. But somehow all these little imperfections made the experience especially memorable. We were accompanied by a one man band whose only member was very fatherly in his attempts to get his small audience to make a song dedication, though no one obliged. He just smiled warmly, said a soft thank you and carried on. I can’t quite put a finger on it. Other than the service, nothing was outstanding, but the time there feels oddly perfect. Truly unforgettable time celebrating my birthday on the Stewords Riverboat. Ps: Thank you for the birthday brownie. Wife loved it.

I write this review with a balanced perspective cos i think that the experience of dining at a boat at Marina Bay is unique. The food is generally OK. Ribeye was good. Quesadillas average. Pork chop was below average. But the service and speed of food was horrendous. It took literally 1 hour for my order of Buffalo wings to come. The main courses were about the same amount of time. So if you are interested in a unique and relaxed experience, and not in a hurry for your food to come, you can try this place out. But be prepared to wait.
