New Rong Liang Ge Cantonese Roast Duck

This is one of the best "i chance upon accidentally" food encounter ever. The highlight is definitely the roasted pork and its one if the best i have ever eaten. Its soft like tender meat and the pork fat really makes one feel like an ever craving lust. Not to mention an affordable meal in Bugis and a hearty meal. I even took it upon to packet some home.

For a bowl of wanton mee to be good, it has to excel in at least two aspects of the following three: taste (noodle, ingredients, soup), portion (value for money), x-factor. Taste of noodle was below average until I added the stall's sambal chili, which manage to help it to just pass. Ingredients were bad. Char siew was too "old". The soup and wanton just didn't leave an impression. Portion was small, with only a few slices of char siew and 2 pieces of wanton. At $3.5, can't complain much. But I've had bigger portion wanton mee elsewhere for the same price. There is nothing special about this bowl of wanton mee. Appreciate the spinach noodle for healthier choice, but it didn't stand out. Three stars awarded due to affordability, even though it's at the expense of smaller portion. Will likely not return here.

Deserves zero star. 2 weeks ago. Ordered a duck drumstick rice but the drumstick came with most of its inner thigh chopped off. Unlike all other roast meat stores a drumstick is meant to be the drum plus the whole thigh. Feel extremely cheated. Taste wise is below average as the meat texture was dry and hard. Very much seems to me it was leftover from yesterday. For better roast meat, it's better to go to Chinatown people's park. The duck drumstick there is always fresh, tender and juicy.
