Had their Ayam Buah Keluak set for 7 sgd yesterday for lunch. Chicken were generous, a whole plate to itself, rice comes with cabbage and mushroom side dish and soup with raddish and carrots. Chicken very tender with strong buah keluak taste, almost as fragrant as rawon. Not a fan of the soup thpugh cos i think they add dates. Can come again!

Homely Eurasian food. I've looked forward to having it for the longest time, and was delighted to be able to have it after all these time.
Menu differs from day to day, so do look out for it on their facebook page. On the day I went, they offered 4 dishes. We ordered ayam buah keluak and itek tim.
Ayam buah keluak was served with a hearty bowl of soup and rice. It was decent, though a little too sour for my liking. Itek tim was decent, though also a little too sour.
Overall, a decently priced and tasty meal that is wallet friendly at $6. Will be interested in returning to try other items on their menu next time.

Great portion and delicious Eurasian food! No msg which a plus point. The owner is super duper friendly! Truly Eurasian food compared to those high end restaurants at museum and ion which are highly priced !

Ordered the babi pongteh. I'll say that the pork was tender and the gravy was very nice. The main dish (the pork belly) was really the star of the show as I felt that the curry vegetables were not to my taste. Perhaps I am not a huge fan of peranakan food. Chilli was sourish and spicy, which complements the babi pongteh because it cuts the saltiness and oiliness of the pork belly.
Inside the bowl of babi pongteh, there were bamboo shoots, mushrooms, potatoes and pork belly meat. It was a thick gravy (due to the starchiness of the potato) and the potatoes were well cooked (not too mushy, but not under cooked).
Overall, I may revisit to try other stuff, but I don't foresee going there often, considering that there are other nice stalls there as well

Their Rendang Chicken is the same type I had in the 1990s at Serangoon Ave 2, Block 304, Singapore 550304.
Is really good, the soup is sweet to like dessert , inside have red date, carrot and radishes.

I’ve always noticed this stall at Maxwell Food Center but never tried it until my colleagues said they were going to tapao food back. I asked for this beef rendang that happens to be on their menu that day (changes daily, updated on their FB page). The overall portion is sizable for the price paid ($6) with no extra charge for takeaway. The beef rendang is super flavorful and that they are generous with the meat! The chili sauce on the side was good too and totally enhances the flavor. My colleague got the chicken Shepard’s pie which is quite huge for $6 too! Will return

Had the babi tempra. Tender and fragrant, albeit not mind-blowing. Achar was pretty good (they offer a choice of vegetables). Soup was nice and homely!

Had the pork belly, rice, traditional cabbage, and pork and carrot soup set. The cabbage stew has a herbal taste. The pork was a tad too salty and greasy but was well cooked. The soup has a mild taste of pork bone and carrot. A good value set and good home cooking.
