Sweetfrog Premium Frozen Yogurt

This place is absurdly priced. Almost $12 a pound for run of the mill frozen yogurt and selection of toppings. Also, the toppings counter is not kid friendly, and about a third of the flavor selections were out of yogurt. Almost $20 for two small cups of yogurt with toppings. I get wanting to take the kids out for a treat, but I’ll be searching for better quality and price somewhere else.

On Friday, November 5 I visited the Lexington Drive location of sweet frog. My family is a frequent customer of this location, purchasing 4 cups at least once a week. When we arrived, the young lady working had an attitude and seemed ready to go. When we approached the topping station we found that 60% of the toppings had the lids on them. The only toppings that were actually open were the candy, fruity pebbles, and the cakes (pound cake and brownies). I attempted to open one of the covers to get blueberries to which she told me “M’am, they’re closed for a reason”. When I inquired what the reason was, especially since there was product in each of the containers, she said “ kids keep putting their hand in them and I’ve already had to change them four times. I don’t want to waste any more product.” My mother-in-law opted to not purchase her yogurt, as none of the toppings she wanted were accessible to us, even though they were readily available. I purchased my yogurt and decided to use the toppings that I had at home. It is preposterous that frequent customers would be denied access to purchase a product that’s readily available because the employee seemed more interested in trying to clean up as fast as possible to end her shift. This experience has made me not want to frequent this location any further, and instead drive to my preferred frozen yogurt location in Bethesda row. Disappoint it is to say the least.
