Got the bangkok seafood delight. Pretty good seafood. Fresh and full of flavor. The spice level was balanced. The meal left me wanting more of it because it is not a big serving(you get exactly 3 of each seafood item) but it was delicious.

So far, I’ve tried the drunken noodles, crab fried rice and the mango curry. They were all delicious!

The food here was quite good. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers and such. All were flavorful. I would definitely come back to try more dishes. The plum saketini was also very good. Not too sweet, not too overpowering. They did not have the lychee saketini unfortunately.

Pretty fast service. Food tastes good. Drunken noodles are flavorful. Pad see eaw didn't seem to have eggs.

We ordered about 10 dishes last night. They were all tasty. The drunken noodles and pineapple fried rices were excellent. The papaya salad was a little sweet though. The server was friendly.

My fiance, friend, and I enjoyed a delicious "second" meal after visiting La Malinche a few storefronts away.
Service here was quick, and the food was good.
The pineapple fried rice was very enjoyable -- it was served quickly and it was hot. There was a healthy helping of vegetables, and they didn't skimp on any part of it.
We also shared the fresh mangoes and sticky rice, which was sweet and warm -- my friend claimed not to like mango when I ordered it, but she tried it and was pleasantly surprised.
I also got a Thai Iced Tea. Yummy and a good size - not too big, not too small!
Overall a good, easy choice. I would come back if I found myself in the area again!

Pumpkin red curry was delicious. We had it with chicken. Yum. The Siam salmon was nice, as were the skewers and the Papaya salad. Great service.

We got the drunken noodles, Roti Kanai with Yellow Curry and Thai Style Fried Rice and all of them were sooo good especially the curry and rice. I love this place. We went around 4-5 and it was empty, quiet, and really nice vibes.

Very impressed with the quality of the Thai food here. The Thai iced tea was great, not too sweet so that you could taste the authentic tea flavors. The Tom Yum soup was amazing. Super flavorful with a kick of sweetness. Best Tom Yum soup I've had. We ordered the Pad Thai and Dragon Noodles with shrimp and seafood. Both were solid. Would def come here again!

I had the mango red curry and it was delicious. Everyone else at my table loved their meals as well. The servers were pleasant enough and the ambience was decent.

The food is incredible. Loved the Dragon Noodles, crispy chicken, and curry chicken puff.

Kao Thai has always been a stop for me anytime I find myself in Downtown Silver Spring. I used to be a frequent eater here when I lived in DTSS (have since relocated to Baltimore), but anytime I find myself back in town I make sure to make a quick stop to dine in or grab some takeout. I’m personally a huge fan of their Green Curry which in my opinion outdoes almost every Thai restaurant in the area, but have had their Pad Thai on occasion which I find great as well! I recently picked up some takeout and they were doing a great job handling the pandemic with a unique pen system and their overall organization. I hope to eat food from here for years to come! (Picture of green curry is from a time before the pandemic).

Wow. Some of the best Thai I've ever had, and I've had a lot. I had the Thai Catfish noodle dish and my wife had the mango curry. The curry had Nice chunks of mango in it. The fish was nice and crispy with great flavor. Reasonably priced, friendly staff.

Great!. Ate there in the Summer. I thought I was not a fan of Thai...this place changed my mind. Excellent food and good service.

Nice flavor. Great for take out. Kinda small for eating in. Drunken Noodles were awesome.

Sooo disappointing.... This is not an authentic Thai restaurant! I ordered the Yum Nua and in my experience having eaten authentic Thai yum Nua from Thailand, this does not even come close to the real thing. It tastes like they use some spicy chili paste - as in what they use for Tom yum soup - to mix with this salad. GROSS! Not to mention the fact that when I asked for an extra lime, the server gave me lemon slices instead and told me they don't have any limes. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? How could it be possible that a Thai restaurant does not have any lime wedges. And finally I want to mention the rice portion, or lack there of. It is about as small of a portion that you will ever find from an Thai restaurant and they will not give you an extra rice for free if you ordered to go. To me, that is pretty cheap. This is the second time I have been here and even though this is the closest Thai restaurant to where I live, I will most certainly not be going back.

Excellent. Highly recommend this new down town SS restaurant. Food was great - probably the best Thai in the SS area. Service was also great which is unusual for the SS area. We tried Dunken Noodle, Panang Curry, and Spicy Eggplant.

Terrible food. Went there seeing the average 4 star rating on google. Food was terrible, ordered the lunch package, drunken flat chicken noodle, it was all dry and tastless. Tom Yum Soup was also bad, vegetable in the soup was cold. Tara Tai is 100 times better. We love the one in Bethesda, MD.

Yum!. My boyfriend and I went yesterday to Silver Spring and decided to try this place out. He had never had Thai before and it was my 2nd time. It's a very small restaurant but it turned out to be a good thing, the wait staff are very attentive and we got there in time to be seated without a wait. He ordered rice with chicken and different kinds of fruit and I had Pad see ew and it was amazing....I highly reccomend this restaurant!

Wonderful Thai. The food here is terrific and much better than many other DC Thai restaurants. Simple no-frills atmosphere results in great prices and service. I recommend the catfish or the drunken noodles.

Thai Flavor is a great restaurant and a nice addition to silver spring.

Quite good. Some of the best tom yum gai I've ever had. Just be warned: if you specifically request a dish 'spicy'...you may be hurting for a while.
I Love Food
Best Thai food around. I love this place, it became our regular thai spot after one visit. The talapia dish and the curries are perfect. Its just up the street from the SS metro, it is worth the walk or drive.

First, this place is small. Not that changed my preconceptions of the food quality, but a sign claimed seating for fourteen, but it seemed full with six customers. But, sometimes you find the best food at little places, and I hoped this would be one of th
