Mandalay Restaurant & Cafe - Silver Spring - Photo album

If you look only their food appearance, I can say they are not really attractive like Thai food, Japanese food or Vietnamese food. They look quite plain (color and the way they decorate their dish). Anyway as for the taste is different story! They did a good job especially my favorite dish is "Chick
Great takeout! We had the beef potato curry and the pork noodle with egg and both were absolutely delicious! The samosa appetizer was nice bang for your buck and super tasty. Quick and easy, I'm definitely coming back to try more! Inside wasn't open for sit down dining so we order to-go and it was r
Pleased with our delivery of beef and potatoes curry, nanjee thoke (had a really nice subtle spice flavour), and shweji. Good portion sizes, everything was well packed. Would order from here again!
Food was absolutely incredible. No wait. Staff was understanding and helpful with my questions. Also a lot of food for the price! Even going all out and getting a specialty drink, appetizer, and dessert, I still only spent $35
SO GOOD. My mom grew up in Burma and we visited here while we were in town - can confirm that it is authentic and delicious Burmese food. If it’s your first time and you’re unfamiliar with the menu, don’t let that stop you - I’d recommend trying their OhnNo KaukSwe, NanJee Thoke, and Nyat KaukSwe Gy
My favorite neighborhood spot in Silver Spring! Amazing food and large portions for a reasonable price. Huge menu but you can’t go wrong with the curry or noodles with Burmese dressing. Dishes are extremely spicy so keep that in mind when choosing mild/medium/hot. Support this local business!
Ordered takeout via Clover. Order was ready to go when I arrived. Have their own parking area so it's easy to run in and out. They are serious about the spice levels, so order accordingly. "Spicy" is very hot but it will not destroy you; "medium" is probably a more comfortable level for most people
Amazing food. Do not go here if you're looking for a fantastic view or great table set up. This place is built on providing great food.
The cuisine is tropical Asian so similar to Thai or Indonesian. It's authentic & astounding. Staff is quite helpful & allows you to make informed decisions. I would definitely recommend it to others
Only got takeout from her because currently they only have that option on Friday-Sunday evenings. The food was great though! Slightly pricey, but delicious! We got the noodles #6 dish with extra spicy sauce on the side
Fantastic food. Thursday chicken special is a real treat, samosas are fantastic, chic pea salad and tomato salad can’t decide which I like more. Service is wonderful. Save room for dessert and Burmese iced coffee.
My friends and I eat here every few months as the food is always prepared excellently and everything we have eaten has been great. The tealeaf salad is not to be missed. The entrees are spiced to order. The coconut ice cream is a treat and we enjoyed eating the coconut itself as well.
Omg ! It’s amazing dinner of our trip from DC ! Thank for your chef special! We worth it for our choice of Burmese Restaurant!
This place is AWESOME. Food is prepared well and staff is friendly. Don't worry about pronouncing the names of the dishes, they are labeled for ease of ordering (ie V-1 = Vegetarian #1 and it lists the name of the dish and a description of the food) You will leave the restaurant satisfied.
Delicious food and wonderful service. Get the spicy sauce if you can handle it. Anything on the menu is excellent. I like the Thursday special.
When we entered owner seem like grumpy or sound like mad, We said we will not come again. But when we had our lunch it was amazing! Perfect salt and not so extra either. Perfect lunch! Wish to go back again! Will recommend this place for Burmeses food.
Come eat here! Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is also very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and was able to safely accommodate gluten free. Because it's so great, expect a bit of a wait for weekend dinner. The short wait is more than worth it. Look forward to continuing
Hole in the wall, unassuming interior with very few customers. But the food is amazing. I thought it would be generic fusion Southeast Asian, but it's actually quite unique.
Great experience. Delicious food. Friendly service. I wish I lived closer so that I could come back more often.
