Review Haenam Kalbi & Calamari - Shoreline

Good food, great service! The server was very patient and explained the dishes to this first-time Korean food explorer! Dishes were yummy, but not spicy, although you can likely ask them to spice it up.

Wonderful Korean restaurant. Ton of good soups and amazing bulgogi. I really enjoyed all the dishes. As with all great Korean dishes there are side dishes. The side dishes are varied and have distinct flavors. The staff is really helpful. She was able to suggest a good soup for me to have. The bulgogi was cool because you finish the cooking on the pan.

The venue was clean and modern (despite what it looks like outside), the good portion was generous and all dishes were delicious. We ordered seafood pancake, spicy pork bulgolgi, japchae and a hot pot dish. Highly recommend the bulgolgi and japchae. The staff were also very friendly, we will definitely come back again and try out other menu items. Tip, if you can, dine in, we ordered take out and though it was still delicious, the portions are much smaller.

I've been coming since I was a kid, and it's just consistently great Korean food that's always filling, comforting, and hits the spot! Love their solid variety of unlimited banchans, their kalbi is always really flavorful and the onions get sweet and caramelized on the hot plate, and the hot tea is always soothing. Also love their soondubu with egg, particularly in the flavors of seafood, kimchi or beef. Their seafood and kimchi Pancakes are also deliciously crispy with that great savory soy dipping sauce. Service is always attentive and very friendly, and if you want to share a bigger dish, their hot pot and noodles with squid are SO good. Highly recommend :)

Indulged with flavors and the sides are delish! I really love this place for Korean foods. I am already making plans to take other people here to try out more of their delicious menu.

Our general experience and the service was great, but the taste was not as authentic as other places in Seattle.

Ordered take out and all the food was excellent. Ordered bibimbap, galbi, soondubu, and kimchi pancake. Everything is well packed for delivery, including a good selection of banchan side dishes.

Take out from here is ok but dining experience was absolutely horrible. Even though tables were available, we weren’t seated for a long time. After seating, no one explained that you can look at their menu online by scanning a code, so further wait. Then, when we finally got our food, they ran out of rice so they gave us only one bowl and said they would bring more soon. Never arrived. We spent over $85 on food and got one bowl of rice we shared. We didn’t even bother asking for more rice because we were so shocked and disappointed. This place use to be our favorite. I’m disappointed that they remodeled it to look better but service and food matters more. Bummer.
