Review The Windsor Inn At Shillington - Shillington

My husband and I had our valentine's dinner here. The server was very nice and the food was fresh and wonderful. The chef (who may also be the owner) came out to ask how our food was and was also very nice. Its a small and cozy place. My only suggestion would be to hire an experienced bartender. I didn't care for the drinks at all. We had a great dinner and will go back again for the food and atmosphere.

Windsor Inn has a lot of options on its menu to please anyone. Two small plates is a little less than an entree. The mashed potatoes and salad that come with the entrees are very good. If you order an entree, you will have plenty for lunch the next day. We had crab stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, goat cheese bruschetta, lemon veal, pesto pasta, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and white pizza. The crab stuffed mushrooms were very good. Across the board, the restaurant uses quite a bit of olive oil. If you plan on sharing small plates, make sure to ask your server if the plate is appropriate for sharing. Some small plates don’t work well as appetizers for more than one. Overall a good value and very well priced.

The very first thing you notice about the Windsor Inn is the parking. The parking lot can be a bit full when other events are going on over at the Karate place. Minor inconvenience. The entrance is on the side and takes you right into the bar area. The entire decor could use some updating. We sat in the front area off the bar facing the patio. The menu is full of interesting items and unique spins on classic favorites. They claim to use fresh ingredients and based on the extra wait time for our meals this appears to be true. I do not mind waiting for high quality fresh food. The food itself was absolutely amazing. Both of our entrees met or exceeded our expectations.

Very responsive on social media (the wife messaged asking if they were open since plague, got an immediate response). Cozy little spot, they knew almost everyone that came in by name, and the pasta is made in house! Definitely worth the visit, great hospitality

Scallops over oven roasted corn and crab pasta. Better half had filet sandwich and fries. Also had meatballs as appetizer and a couple brews. Excellent
