We Love it!. It is hard to find restaurants where you can feel at home and really relax and enjoy yourself. My wife and I have been here several times since they opened a year or so ago and have always had great food and service, plus the view is outstanding. We read the few negative comments and are surprised by silly things people complain about (lettuce, inexperience staff, etc). You find local people trying very hard in every aspect of the business from service to food. As customers, we have to also understand that and appreciate the efforts.
We continue to see growth every time we come here. We have sampled many different things on the menu and always walk away satisfied. Great prices and good portions. If we have a problem, the staff is quick to remedy the issue as soon as possible. Every time we have been here we have talked to the owner for a very personable experience.
This place is a rare find, we enjoy it and it is our first choice when in the area for going out.
Good Food. We visited on Thursday night for dinner. We ordered a bowl of baked French Onion soup, which was very good. I ordered the cod and my husband ordered the beef brisket sandwhich. I thought the cod was very tasty. The breading was light and the fish was a nice texture, light and flaky. My husband, who eats a lot of fish was impressed with it also. The beef brisket sandwich was huge and my husband enjoyed it. The service was a bit slow though. I was just to the point of getting annoyed when the food arrived. We'll go back again. Looking forward to the view in warmer months.
Great food, great service!. I really have had great experiences when I come to Twisted Root. I've tried appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, and desserts, and I can't think of a complaint. I also like that my vegetarian friends have more than a couple of options when we go to eat here. My favorite meal that I've had was the chef's choice pasta. The chef made me this pasta with a spicy cream sauce with a ton of veggies and chicken. Yum! I ask for this every time I'm hungry for pasta now!
Great!!. This place has been open for just two months and they are really doing a great job. I've been here with friends several times and have seen improvements in service and the food has always been excellent. I have had the salads including the shrimp salad and the shrimp was cooked perfectly with garlic and the salad was crisp. We have also had steaks, prime rib, and the Friday fish fry. Can't wait for the outdoor seating this summer!
Good food, well priced. Good Wisconsin food - the fish fry is great. Very nice ambiance - fireplace included. They also cater large parties.
