Angie's Main Cafe

I had the all you can eat potato pancakes. I loved them ! Waitress asked me how many to start, I said 4. There huge. So that was enough .Had a side of Bacon. You can order breakfast until 3pm it said on menu. A nice variety of breakfast and dinner choices. This is like walking back in time to a diner from years ago. Almost everything made from scratch. They even had bread dough rising in pans to bake. Walk into their other area for table seating where they have a ice cream / gourmet coffee, latte, and many other choices.

Absolutely love this place! If you miss those wonderful mom and pop diners from the 50's, then Angie's Main Cafe is for you. Wonderful service in a nostalgic atmosphere. And they can cook an over easy or poached egg correctly where the yolk is still runny. Awesome fresh baked breads and jams served with your breakfast (try the wheat bread...awesome!!!) We got their potato pancakes and they were a hit with our group! Super thin, nice outside crunch, and very tasty. My bacon was over cooked but everything else was so good I still gave them 5 stars. They also offer Nueske's bacon as a popular upgrade and if you've never had Nueske's, I'd suggest trying it. Got their malts and they give you the steel malt cup too so you can keep refilling your glass. So 1 malt turned into 3 by the time I finished that steel cup. Had a wonderful Easter lunch with all the fixings. If you make it out this way, it's a definite must. And I only found out about this place from asking a local. Went to their local grocery store and asked the young lady behind the bakery counter and she said that Angie's Main Cafe was the place she'd go if she were going out to eat. Keep in mind they are a breakfast/lunch service only so get their before they close.

One would think that it's difficult to be grumpy in a 1950s style diner with pink counters and stools, but our waitress sure was. The waitress did the bare basics of her job: handing us menus, writing down our order, bringing our food, and giving us the bill. Not a smile, no friendly personality. My husband's order was incorrect. Seems that if you're not a regular, you're not welcome.

Just as we remember it. It had only been 3 years since our last visit, but we enjoyed the familiarity as soon as we walked in on our most recent visit to Angie’s. The food is delicious, plentiful, and consistent. The service is always backed with a smile and servers are patient and thorough with questions. We enjoy watching the camaraderie and teamwork between coworkers. Thanks for being all around awesome!
