My husband and I are always looking for new places to eat that aren’t chain restaurants.
We hit the jackpot today! Our service was wonderful even with them being short staffed!
I am a chef and I can tell you that everything that was served to us was phenomenal!
I can’t remember the last time I was able to say that.
I read other reviews about the root beer being so good so of course I had to try it!! Amazing, locally made in Reading, Pa.
Give it a try. Reasonable prices with fair portions.

Mike was our friendly and attentive waiter. He helped us decide as it was our first time there. He recommended the cheesesteak and chicken and waffles. They were both to die for. So filling, so flavorful and most importantly, so comforting. We saved room for dessert and had the Elvis waffle that comes loaded with peanut butter, bananas, chocolate syrup and candied peanuts on top. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and Mike made sure we were well taken care of. We look forward to eating there again!!

Food was delicious. Took a little while but worth the wait for sure. Would have liked a little more attention from the wait staff but they were adequate as far as it goes.

I took my wife, mother-in-law, and son their today for Mother's Day. It was terrible. The whole experience. Waited over 1.5 hours for food (wasn't crowded 6-8 empty tables), orders were wrong, food was ice cold, and tasted terrible. My son had a golf ball size chunk of uncooked potato in his mashed potatoes. My wife's shrimp was fried twice because they forgot about it. Terrible service from wait staff. They made us move tables after we were seated and placed our order already. Second table wasn't cleaned and was soaking wet with water all over it. People who came in 30 minutes after us got their food before we did. After 1.5 hours we asked about how long it would be, then our food came out almost immediately. But, it was cold, the plates were hot, but all the food on them was cold. 1 hour after eating, my wife became extremely sick and started vomitting. I'll never go back. This is my third horrible experience at this place and I will never return.

This place is amazing! Eat here all the time and was never let down! The breakfast bowl is amazing! There other dishes are excellent as well but, I keep coming back for the breakfast bowl. The dining room is always clean. Staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
UPDATE: Just finished dining a bit ago. Thursday is steak hoagie nite. All kinds of traditional and non-traditional hoagies.
The two pics are of the "Elvis" and "I love Lucy".
Another Update: Try the turtle pancakes. They are a new item and fantastic!
This place is amazing!
Give it a try, I am sure you will love it!
Well.....literally just left Easter dinner at Sweet tooth Cafe. It was amazing! We had more food than we could finish. The staff was very busy but, we did not wait long for our food. Another home run!!!

My family & I (2 adults & 2 children) were looking for someplace new to try out around this area. After searching Google for restaurants to eat at, we kept coming back to "The Sweet Tooth Cafe." Please don't get discouraged w/the lack of menu postings, the name of the place or photos in general. This spot is a great hiding spot! We went on a Sunday, so the menu was limited...kind of! (One cook on hand) but did man did they deliver! The wait staff was Soo nice and accommodating! (I drink a lot of water and the glasses were small, so they brought a carafe!) The coffee!!! I never drink it black but it was Soo delish black!!! I had a breakfast bread bowl, they were out of the bread bowl, so they"specialized" my meal and discounted my meal! My husband had the honey dipped chicken and waffles! (Holy moly was that chicken great! (Even my girls loved the chicken! (So, much they wouldn't stop asking for more chicken!!!) My girls ordered the chocolate chip pancakes! We ordered the soup to go and the veggie side to go bc we wanted so badly to try them, we just didn't think we could eat them w/breakfast! The soup was home made potato bacon! I couldn't finish my breakfast so I took it to go, my husband couldn't finish the chicken, took that to go! My youngest couldn't finish her pancakes, took them to go! For supper tonight, they are now eating my soup and sharing the chicken. Mommy & day are now trying to find what to eat! The soup is thee best Potato soup, I have been had! The atmosphere is nice, I love the 50s era, music matches. Don't get the concept w/the food but I'm ok w/it. We will be back! I wish I had taken photos! I will next time!! Please, try this place, you won't be disappointed! Btw-Sunday menu is different from weekday menu but still delicious!!!
