Review Captain D's - Seymour

Let me start off by saying that I like Captain D's, but the one in Seymour, IN needs some help. I went in for dinner around 5 on a Thursday, the place was empty except for 2 tables of guests. I ordered the grilled white fish with green beans and broccoli. I tried to find a clean table, when there wasn't one, I had to sit down at a dirty one (floors were dirty too). My food came out and my grilled fish was swimming in what looked like grease. I always get the white fish so I know what its supposed to look like. Take something somewhat healthy and make it very unhealthy. If I had a 1/2 cup of beans and broccoli each I was doing good. More like a 1/4 cup. But the worst thing that happened was the way the young girl at the counter treated an older lady. I over heard the two older ladies talking about not getting the fish they ordered. One of the ladies went up and told the girl behind the counter that their fish was wrong. The girl behind the counter tried to explain about not being able to get a certain fish so they use pollack, the lady didn't understand so the counter girl got frustrated and said, and I quote "well I can give you a refund or you can just throw it away and go home"! I was like what, did I just hear that. The poor lady got her refund and was walking back into the dining room when the same counter girl hollered at her and said, "mam you need to throw that plate away you can't leave it on my counter". While I was writing this,, the other counter girl was speaking on the phone with someone and talking about the exchange and lying, saying the counter girl (I know her name) was nice and tried to explain to the lady and that the lady said she was going to call the corporate office, that is when the counter girl went over the line. I heard the older lady,, she never raised her voice, but the counter girl sure did. The other counter girl, who was talking to an unknown person, on the phone, said we are tired, and we have some personal problems, something about someone being pregnant, then she said I guess I should go to the back and not let everyone hear her personal problems. Now, I just heard the rude counter girl say she has no filter and if someone says something to her she is going to tell them what she thinks. Mercy, she needs to be fired. Apparently she has no idea of customer service either. Ruined my whole meal. I'm here in Seymour for 3 weeks, and I won't be back if rude employees are allowed to treat customers the way this lady was treated.

The food is not bad, however It would be nice to be able to acually dine in. The store in Seymour, In is only open for 2 days a week for dine in till 9 pm and apperently only till 1 pm one of those days this week. Looked like they had ample help to me, so Im not sure what the issue is.

My husband and I went to Captain D's in Seymour Indiana yesterday around 3 no one was in the dining room we got our food the tables and floors was so dirty no one came in the dining room to check the dining room they bought our food they lady said was short a shrimp and they would bring it out never got the shrimp they were to busy talking it had been a long time with everything going for us to visit on no one came to see if the food was ok or if we need anything my husband was going to ask for a cloth to wipe the tables off when we got ready to leave I said I never got my shrimp they said they would get if for me know I said no because I was leaving my husband and I won't be back we left 3 people out back smoking instead of bet inside taking care of the dining room and floors they all need to be retrained the food was good but it was so disappointed to see how it has change and no one care how the placed looked

No help old and dirty building that hasn't been updated in 30 plus years !!! Food was hot and fresh but thats it

first time coming here i ordered my food and pulled up. I over heard the Conversation from the car behind me and the lady on the speaker talked to the customer like she was stupid! she was so Disrespectful. It was the skinny older lady that talked to her. The customer said that she was just going to go somewhere else. This employee clearly does not care about her job all the Customer asked if you guys had large cups and regular buns.

I didn’t even know that lobster rolls had been changed to a lobster ball transport. This is really a simple and convenient way that I never realized.

I waited in drive thru for 15 minutes & was told there is only 1 size fry, which is fine, however when I got home & opened my food I had only 7 cold fries!!! 7!!! What size is that? Extra , extra small? And I was missing an order of fries, my fish was burnt & I had to ask for napkins & my straw. They asked if I wated condiments and I didn't get them as well! Last time going here!

If the lady at the window wasn't so friendly I would give you one star, but I do not feel these two little nuggets of catfish are worth $9.50 dinner., 🙄it's pretty pathetic actually considering the pictures of the size of fish on the menu. Tricked by a business again!
