Review The Village Pub - Sewell

Natalie was my server. Thank you from the heavens above that this woman came into my life for just the briefest of moments. At worst, she was the best server I've ever had, at best she changed my life in ways that I am just not smart enough to articulate. I ordered the most simple of items...fries and naked wings. Both were tasty and I ate them happily. It was the service however, that made my experience a flash-bulb memory in my life. I will always remember Natalie's friendly demeanor and light green hair clip. Thank you Village Pub for hiring Natalie and thank you Natalie for changing a simple man's life. God bless the USA.

Visited 2/22/22 Twosday. National Margarita day. It’s not too often that I leave bad review, I’m not a particularly harsh critic however when the whole experience is trash there is much to be said. To start off, I ordered a “perfect patron margarita” in a celebratory take home cup shaped like a patron bottle in honor of national margarita day. It was less than perfect and a lot less margarita all for 12$. Let’s set one thing straight, I rarely complain about money or prices. I do look at overall cost during reviews and this was one bill that frankly was not worth half of its value. My partner and I ordered wings as an appetizer. Expensive but understandable due to a national chicken shortage or inflation or which ever excuse of the day we desire. We ordered anyway like 10 for 14$. They came out much too tiny and hardly spicy or hot at all however, there wasn’t much fatty rubbery parts and the quality of what meat we could find was decent. My partner had ordered the salmon burger and was dissatisfied. I agreed it was nothing to write home about. I ordered my self the “Pub avocado salad” and added seared tuna to it with lemon dill vinaigrette on the side. For 21$ it was the best thing about our whole visit. The bar tenders were nice as we usually do like sitting bar side during outings. Generally, you are more likely to get better service and personality. Like in this instance, that is not always the case. Again, nothing to write home about. I remember we were forgotten more than once and we joked about the establishment and its workers simply just not liking us. Keep in mind that while out on visits, I don’t run my server excessively, I tip well regardless, I grew up serving and retired bartending and I always try to engage or mix up someone’s day in a positive way. I like anything that breaks up monotony of everyday routine and same old bores. After our meal, we decided to cheers tequila. Shots were tiny as well for 8$ each for Jose Cuervo. The bathrooms were in good shape, at least. All in all, do not recommend this place. It was just too overpriced for mediocre food, drink and experience.

Food service was slow but they warned us due to short staff. We ordered appetizers and sandwiches. Some food was cold earning them a 3star.

The food was great and came out really fast. The service was great, especially because we had server Natalie Smith! Trivia night is also really fun, hosted every Wednesday night!

We thought it was all you could eat crab legs (it was all you could eat, pre-Covid) but it turns out it was $44 a bowl. My two friends had two rounds and I had one, we were getting ready to go for round three and two, when the waitress told us, it wasn’t all you can eat.😂😂😂😂😂 We could have easily walked out of there with a $500 bill. The manager was incredibly understanding and only charged us $44 each. The crab legs also came with french fries. I am not a french fry person but these were the best fries I have ever had.

I was surprised at the number of options. They had no issue putting vegan cheese on my chicken cheese steak (dairy allergy) as long as I was okay with the up charge. We had a group of 6 and had a good time.

Horrible bartender on Friday the 17th. My husband waited over 20mins patiently for a drink. Finally we waved and said can we be next. She came over and put finger in my face and proceeded to tell me how rude I was and that I should NEVER wave at a bartender. My husband proceeded to explain how long he was waiting and that she wasn’t even that busy. She was nasty rude mean and should NOT be working with the public. Sorry Village Pub you lost regulars …. We will never step foot in there again.
