Stella little place! Stopped here on our way back from a day of hiking. Busy but extra seating with heated propane heaters on a covered patio outside. Our server was super attentive and knew the menu inside and out. Cedar planked salmon is a slam dunk - fresh, and served with crushed up purple potatoes, veggies and a lemon aioli dipping sauce. Sublime! The mushroom Bianca pizza is also great. And the chocolate dessert - delicious. Not too big - but decadent and the raspberry really gives it a pop. The perfect not too heavy finish and good to split! Highly recommend this place.
Great food and wonderful service - the only negative here was making reservations and then having our table given to other folks- it would have been nice to be inside since it was cold but the atmosphere more than made up for it- especially when they kicked on the heater! Will definitely be back next time we're in town!
Fantastic place for dinner. Date night made memorable by delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. The entrées are beautifully balanced, portions just right, greens are sautéed to perfection! Such a good smell every time someone gets served, it makes the mouth water.
Lots of locally sourced products and wines, nice ambiance with some water features and a real grape vine surrounding the garden. Kind service from start to end, pretty reasonable waiting time.
Suggest to book a table a few hours in advance or try and call before heading there, there’s a risk of being booked out! Can’t wait to go back!
The food was amazing and the dining experience was superb! I had pizza and the sourdough crust was baked perfectly and toppings & sauce had a great flavor. My sister had the halibut dish and she said it was delicious! For dessert we shared the lemon shaker pie and it was outstanding!! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely amazing dining experience. Fresh, clean food with amazing flavors. Compliments to the chef! Would absolutely go back again and again.
This was one of the most enjoyable and memorable culinary experiences my wife and I have EVER had. Full stop. We can wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend this location to anyone and everyone, young or old, big or small, who regularly consumes food! Guaranteed to blow your mind, induce salivation, satisfy your hunger, and pleasure your taste buds to one of the greatest treats they have will have had in their recent memories. 8 out of 8 eight items we ordered were the singularly best version of those items we have ever had at a restaurant.
We also could not leave a review without mentioning our absolutely stellar waitress. She was kind, efficient, supremely confident in the quality of their food, engaging, and incidentally, also a farmer from whom the restaurant sources some of it's produce! She was amazing.
Our only critique would be that the ambience/decor of the interior is not nearly magical enough to equal the glory of their food. So, please come here and tip them very well to give them enough money to redecorate and give them the external trappings worthy of their incredible culinary offerings!! :)
The conclusion of our evening was both of us, in tears of joy at the love and beauty infused within every bite. Their produce is locally sourced, their staff are generally long-term employees more akin to family, their zeal is palpable for what they are doing, and all of that shows through profoundly in the taste. Though we were unable to shake the chef's hand as he had already left for the night, we had a wonderful conversation with his wife and expressed out heartfelt gratitude to them for all their effort to create something truly wondrous.
Went to Alder for the first time on Friday, can’t believe we have not given them a try sooner! Do not make our mistake, get in to try the Fungi pizza ASAP!
We rarely eat out, unless we think the food is unique enough to warrant dropping almost $100 for two. The Alder Wood Bistro lived up to that standard and my wife enjoyed her birthday celebration here. We sat out back in their covered garden, which is a joy to sit in and be surrounded by flowers, plants, and trees. It's an oasis.
The service was prompt, the food wonderfully prepared, the flavors unique. We had reservations, highly encourage it. They were busy on a Friday night on Labor Day weekend.
We were on the last leg of our vacation and headed home but the Hood Canal drawbridge was open so we had to find something to do for an hour. I am so glad we chose to stop into Alder Wood Bistro. It was the perfect choice for weary travelers longing for something simple and delicious. Plus the service was so kind and friendly. The pizza and salad we had were perfect and it looked like everything on the menu was equally delicious. Next time we're in Sequim we'll definitely return.
Excellent place, it was by far one of the best places we ate at near the national park. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely kind and friendly! We really loved their fries, they were light but super crispy. Everything tasted very fresh including the gnocchi and the clams. The seating is outdoors and the atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy.
