Food poisoning anyone? No... no takers. Yeah I don’t like raw shrimp with a side food poisoning either. I have had shrimp in ceviche but never plain warm and raw sitting next to a cooked shrimp.
If the food tasted even 1/4 as good as it looked I would have been happy.
Worst sushi I have had in Seattle, hands down.
The fish was warm, the miso was cold, the rice was complete mush and fell apart. Tasted like two day old rice left in a rice cooker until it starts to dissolve ... Gross.
Funny how the bag says passion and yet nobody cares enough to add any sort of love to the food.
If you want temperature abused, poorly cooked( what was it supposed to be) food with a side of food poisoning look no further.

I had the senorita sushi, gyoza, and miso soup. So good! It wasn't very crowded when we got there at 730pm. Kudos to the chef.

Went there for a weekend dinner, was not impressed. Ordered "Victory roll", one of their fusion series sushi, the taste is bland at best. We also ordred 16 piece sashimi set, and the ingredients were not exactly fresh. You can get much fresher and tasteful food from many Japanese restaurants in the area, for less price.

I love the sushi but the prices are a little steep on a college budget. Rainbow Deluxe, Dragon and Empire roll are really good, my top 3.
I go for the all you can eat special and it's so with it. Severed with miso soup as a side, I love. This is my spot to go with my Bestie before we hit clubs/bar.

This isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last! Honestly, the best rolls we’ve ever had and tempura udon is delicious. My fiancé and I aren’t too big on raw sushi so we always get rolls. We got the avocado, California crunch and 45th street roll. I feel like the sauce is key to any good recipe and their sauce is to die for. I absolutely recommend mejari if you’re craving sushi or udon!

I'm here because of "Dai" Mochizuki that manages & bartends. Excellent Japanese service (Dai is from Hamamatsu, Japan and he is a Seattle Dojo judoka). Dai researched the ramen for a month in Japan and used to work for Ramen Man down the street and it's the best ramen on 45th. His Japanese quality control is excellent. I've run into Japanese regulars from other places that come here because it's the best value for Japanese food on 45th & you get Dai's service.
Happy Hour is 5-7pm everyday here and is great, especially during late night Friday-Saturday 10pm-midnight.
There is an Izakaya menu & full bar, therefore it's a great place for drinking.
The menu has a Latin twist (MeJari= Mexican Japanese American) on rolls (makikomi) & some dishes but it still classical Japanese on the sushi & ramen. If you like Japonessa, price & service is better here.

Seriously the best sushi place ever, the only place where you can get full on amazing sushi for 20$ or less. The happy hour is amazing too, 5$ rolls! Make sure to sit at the sushi bar, sometimes you get to sample sushi that isn't on the menu.

We were skeptical, were proven way wrong. So good. We started with the tuna collar which was perfectly prepared. Crispy on the outside, tender inside. Moved onto the 3 rolls for $20,which were generously made and tasty. For those that miss the rolls at Rain which used to be down the street, will find the rolls here even better. Finally, we got the medium sashimi set which was beautifully displayed and pretty good quality. Service was pretty good too. Definitely will be back.
