We’ve been in Seattle for a few days there is the never ending quest for the perfect breakfast. Hunched over our iPhones like ogres over a bone pile, sifting through endless options and possibilities. My eyes start going buggy and frustration rises like vapors from a pigpen.
We chose someplace else, the name Americana made me think of strip malls and yellow linoleum, but the first place in the list was closed due to the scourge and Americana was the closest place within walking distance.
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
I chortled in my joy!
Great little hole in the wall with sweet sincere service. Felt totally welcomed.
My wife informed me that the french toast was better than hers which is something of a revelation. The chicken fried streak was everything I could ask for, savory, tender, creamy gravy. The home fries worth writing home about. Oh happy chance! If this place were in my neighborhood, I’d move in. They’d have to pry me out at the end of the day with a crowbar.

Went in for brunch. Had a nice time. It was not very busy and we got a seat within 5 mins. Parking was tough though. The food was good. The Americana Benedict was nice and appetizing. I had taken the chicken sandwich with a side salad. I would recommend the Benedict and also the pork belly, it looked really nice. I immediately regretted my sandwich when the adjoining table's pork belly was served with pancakes and an omelette. Will definitely try that the pork belly the next time.

My partner and I were out on Friday morning looking for a breakfast restaurant and saw that the Americana Restaurant was open and went in and had breakfast, we both had the Americana Benedict which was very tasty but I wish they would have put hash browns instead of potato pancake, other than that everything was great.

Very friendly stuff. Delicious omlette and French toast. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for brunch!

We went there for brunch. We had pancakes and omelets. One of the guys from our group who is living in LA but is French originally said it was the best pancakes he had in his life in the US.
Hope you find this useless detail useful

One of my favorite places in Capitol Hill! Great service, great food! Their pancakes and French toast are top notch! Highly recommend!

What a massive disappointment. The mediocre food was punctuated by laissez-faire service, unsatisfying portions and massively overpriced sides. $4.50 for 4 small slices of sourdough that I didn’t even get until I was almost done because they forgot.
To top it off, I asked for a refill on the coffee and a to go cup and they said they don’t do refills. A) I’ve never heard of such a thing and B) They charged me $4.50 for an 8oz mug of coffee. And they don’t do refills? Really?? Really really???
Basically, my $30 dollar breakfast wasn’t worth a nickel over $15.00. Their miserly service policies alone will ensure I will never patronize the joint, but the wait staff was singularly uninspiring as well. Hurry up and wait seemed to be the order of the day.

Good place for breakfast. There is a good selection on the menu and the portion size is great! Was definitely very full afterwards. The herbed omelette was pretty good - added smoked salmon which was cooked inside. The menu is online on facebook.
