Came here on a Friday with a friend to study! We arrived around 4:30pm and all the seats were filled. We managed to nab a table within a few minutes of arrival (thankfully) because someone was just leaving! I didn't order any coffee as it was past my coffee drinking hours but I did order a ham & swiss panini. The associate informed me that it would be about 6 minutes for my panini. However, it took closer to 10-12 minutes... When the panini came, I noticed that one half of the panini was kinda pretty burnt. Fortunately, the other half was perfectly panini'd and the taste was good!
Both my friend and I had a hard time connecting to the WiFi. It took my computer almost an hour to finally connect to their wifi (and yes, I tried turning wifi off and on, restarting my laptop, forgetting the network, etc). This was frustrating for me, and in combination with my half burnt panini I give this place a 2 star.
The environment is very cute - the cafe area is in the back of the bookstore. It feels cozy and home-y. I wouldn't be opposed to giving this place another shot but would try their coffee and maybe just use it as a place to catch up instead of doing work because I don't want to run into WiFi problems again!

They have a good drink selection, and it's inside a great bookstore, but you should know what you're getting into - they don't want you to stay. The music is loud and the seating is uncomfortable. The food has flies on it. They're not friendly. They automatically add a tip to your bill, even though it's essentially self-service. It's too easy to cause a mess trying to carry a teapot, saucer, and cup to your uncomfortable seat, and I saw multiple people within an hour spill their drinks because of the wobbly tables and bad cups. I think they'd be better off using standard to-go cups.

Located inside the book store, this is a nice nook to grab a java or small snack. They have free WiFi and bathrooms, but you can't bring in unpurchased books into the cafe.
Music is on point and staff is quick to get orders taken. The tables are kept very clean. Usually this place can be crowded, but folks don't tend to stay too long.

Says they are open until 7 but was all closed up at 5:45p.

Fun find, but not much space and $3.50 for a short shot of espresso. You might get lucky with a table and very lucky if you find one near an outlet. Closed early at 7:30pm and removed everyone from the seating area. That was unfortunate.

If there are seats available, it's a really nice place to get some work done, or meet a friend for coffee. I read in some reviews that the wifi wasn't the best, and although it wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews made it sound, it was definitely slow at times.

Very nice new little are inside Elliot Bay Books. Nice coffee. Nice pastries. The new spot is definitely encouraging more people to stay maki it tricker to snag a spot to sit and enjoy your snack. But a nice improvement for sure!
