Great food, scenery, and service! Rio was awesome 👏 Super helpful and very knowledgeable. The food was amazing! I ate the Duck with Hazelnuts and omg, let’s just say my taste buds were highly satisfied. If you’re in the Fremont/U-District area and are looking for amazing food and scenery, definitely check this place out!

Have the clams - the sauce is divine, and the fennel is a nice accompaniment that didn't overwhelm the subtle flavors. Endive salad was perfect with delicate greens and bold flavors. The fritters were also delicious.

We came to Westward for a seafood dinner. Oysters on the half shell were fresh and nicely presented with a cucumber mignonette or hot sauce. The spicy clam dip with house made chips was excellent and then dinner.....
Dinner is a selection of larger shareable plates. So, if you want a meal plated with sides you might find Westward lacking.
Come here for fresh oysters, small or large plates for the table and drinks.
Service was excellent. We will return for a daylight meal on the water of oysters, small plates and drinks.

Came here with a friend for a light meal. Under the Bridge Pina Colada was delicious, I wish it came in a bigger glass with less ice. The oysters here are fantastic! Service was exceptional and the view outside was nice. This is one happy fish.

I love the location of this place and the vibe. Oysters are absolutely delicious! We also shared spice clam dip and Wolf Bread. For the main entree we had seared halibut and it was scrumptious.

I came here with two friends for dinner to get some good oysters because one of them really wanted to give oysters a go.
I heard good things about Westward so went for this.
We split two types of oysters (got 6 total, 3 of each). One was slightly on the sweeter side and the other in the middle of sweet and briny.
I was definitely not a fan. Just that raw feeling threw me off.
Both my friends liked the oysters though so I think it's just my personal preference on this here.
You then shared a plate of baked oysters and it was amazing. That garlic ancho butter went really well with the oyster itself. The perfect amount of spicy and just a good dish overall.
I also got a side of seared zucchini and this was so so good! I don't think I've ever had zucchini cooked this way taste this good! The right amount of charring and It went perfectly well with the pistachio salsa verde on the side.
The serving size for this was also fairly big and definitely worth the price.
My friends also shared the Pacific Octopus and seemed to enjoy it. I would have expected more quantity in this though.
Also really hoped we could get a table with a view but ours was on the inside and nothing great.

Parking is very limited and a hassle, be aware. The servers and hostesses were excellent. I arrived without a reservation during their in between hour and was lucky enough to get an Adirondack chair on the patio. The view was lovely. I ordered an oyster shooter, spicy crab dip, Boys of summer cocktail, and a lemon curd donut. Price was $55 before tip. Very disappointed in the food to be honest. I’d heard great things about chef Renee Erickson and expected more. The shooter didn’t taste fresh, I didn’t bother to finish the jalapeño mezcal vinaigrette because it just wasn’t good $8. The cocktail, which was $16, had I’m convinced no alcohol in it. I hadn’t eaten that day and felt nothing as a petite individual I know when there’s a shot of alcohol in something. I ordered the spicy crab dip $14 and was instead given what my receipt said was a crab tostada which was not on the menu for $20. It was 2 large tortilla rounds with mostly radishes and a few tiny pieces of crab. Also not good or what I ordered. To finish I had the lemon curd donut which was the best thing out of it all and it’s from porpoise donuts so they didn’t make it $6. I’d prefer they be honest and charge to sit on their deck which is essentially what you are paying for. They staff were very nice and even allowed me to access the dock to take a few photos. Ultimately I won’t return, there are better choices for food and drink. If you do I’d get a beer and move on for a meal.

We were given a gift card so we decided to try it here during our stay in Seattle. We didn't make a reservation but we went there early for dinner, glad we were given a table immediately. Great service and great food, the chickpea fritters was awesome, spare ribs and duck leg were great, oysters on that day was not the best though, and wish they could include more fruits in the sangria. We did enjoy the scenery and overall environment.
