The event seating is crammed and uncomfortable, there is a two item minimum per person (from a pricey menu), and they automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill. Yes, as a business, the Parlor has to make money, but their focus should be on providing a positive and valuable experience to their customers. I will be enjoying my comedians elsewhere.

The comedians they bring here are good but the seating is horrible, no point in paying for VIP really it seems more crowded than sitting in the surrounding area. And I don't like the fact that if you order anything they hold your card until after the show to make sure you don't run off. As a business they should have more of a professional approach to keeping up with people. But overall it's a ok place.

Their method of filling the theater was to get everyone to stand around outside the door for up to 30 minutes while people would slowly trickle through and be seated. Upon being seated, one could finally start ordering some of the minimum 2 items required for everyone. If people are there for an hour, how many are really going to order less than two items anyway?
From the slow service, the chipped glassware and my food that turned up without cutlery, I definitely felt treated like a captive audience.

(Seattle)WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
I was surprised with tickets from my husband on my birthday. I was really excited to see Lavelle Crawford as he is one of my favorite comedians. I took my best friend with me and we were excited to see the show. The show was to start at 10pm, but it didn't. I get that they are waiting for more people to come so the show didn't start until 11:30. What I didn't appreciate was how the venue was set up.
There is a REQUIRED 2 drink or 1 food and 1 drink minimum to satisfy the requirement. So, we purchased one drink each from the bar upstairs and it took us 30 minutes to get it because the waiters didn't care that you were there and they just ignored you. By the time, we got to the bar I was pissed and irritated and just wanted to get my drink and see the show my husband had paid for my birthday. I was going to purchase my second drink when I got to the lower level so I could be ready to get my laugh on after the terrible experience I just had at the bar upstairs.
(horrible) My drink that my bestie and I just purchased upstairs we were told did NOT count as one of our REQUIRED 2 drink minimum in the comedy area. Mind you this is all in the same venue/club. Could this place get any worse?? YES! I have PRE-PURCHASED tickets and I am now waiting to be seated. I have been in line now for 45 minutes waiting to be seated to see the show. UMMM NO, NO, NO, I find out that you have to take your PURCHASED tickets to desk first for them to check you in and sign you up for a group number. This was the most unorganized and terrible event I have ever been to. There is NO One to help you and no hostess to direct you on what to do or where to go when you first get there. Not even so much as a sign to direct you. So if you have PURCHASED tickets, it does not matter for the Seattle Parlor because they will seat you wherever. The Ticket thing with the seat number is FAKE!!
Your seats/table is on a first come first serve basis. My seats were horrible and the guy/waiter in our area kept coming to our table saying, "two drink minimum required and the drinks you just purchased didn't count". How SLEAZY and GREEDY are YOU?? Do you not see my drink in front me?? The comedians are what is saving this place and they are great, but the venue really sucks. BTW the drinks are $10 and up starting in the lower level area where the show is. We left there with spending over $70 dollars for terrible service, overly priced drinks and food for two people.
I wouldn't go back there EVER because of the terrible experience. However, if you decide to go, try to get FREE tickets because then you won't have any expectations and no love lost because you are definitely going to have a horrible experience. Horrible service/venue but AWESOME comedians! SMH

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. From the bouncers to the waiters to the bar tenders. Absolute jerks. Save your money this place needs new management, new staff and a new name. You couldn't pay me to go back. I was with a group of 8 and we were all very polite, too polite thru all the inconveniences until the end when my friend was accused of not paying the bill. He paid in cash and one of the staff pocketed the money. They charged my card twice with incorrect amounts. What jerks what got me most is simply the bullying and complete utter assess these guys and girls where to a bunch of mid 30's guys who had money to spend. They can SUCK IT!

The show I was there to see was great. However getting the right info from the staff proved to be difficult. Called ahead to check on the dress code. The guidelines given on the phone were not the same as set at the venue. Seating was a catastrophe. Paid for VIP seating and they tried to sit us behind the stage. Maybe my next visit will be better.

I went to The Parlor Live Seattle for the 10pm show on NYE, I was excited because I've been to thier Bellevue location many times, but much prefer this venue, which is lovely (it's the old fox sports grill).
Pros: Lovely location, grown folk feel, convenient location.
Con's: no coat check (on NYE in Seattle! had to carry my wool coats all night), $28 for 2 drinks, and the most frustrating thing? the opening act stated half way into his set that Joey Tory-the headliner- was sick and wouldn't be performing. The opening act was funny, but I didn’t pay $100 to see him. To top it off after the set was done and countdown was over Mr. Tory came out on stage and waived at the crowd. I have contacted The Parlor (twice) to receive tickets to another show, as there policy states to have no reply.
Bottom Line: Great Venue, 3 stars for response to disappointed clients.

Girls night out. Security and the Comedian ruined the evening. Very rude. Telling you not to talk even if the Comedian asked a question. Will never go back to this Club. Half of the audience walked out after we did and they wouldn't refund anyone's money.
