I highly recommend Jennifer and Pike to Plate. We had an amazing experience touring Pike Place Market and learning to cook a Persian inspired meal. Jennifer was careful to take our preferences into account when selecting the menu. She is very knowledgeable and a pure delight. Above all, she was very accommodating when we had to adjust the date due to an unexpected ice storm. All the food we cooked was delicious and I have already put the recipes to use at home. This was a birthday treat for my mom but it would be a great experience for anyone wanting to add wonderful recipes to their repertoire no matter if they are a beginner or seasoned cook. I highly recommend this experience. You will not be disappointed.

Our experience with Chef Jennifer was outstanding. From the beginning, shopping at the Pike Place Market to creating incredible food, the overall experience was over the top. We cannot wait to share this experience with friends and family and join Chef Jennifer again very soon.

We had a fun and educational experience with Jennifer. She was organized, informative (with her Science (!) background) and very personable. Her kitchen is very sanitary. She sourced some of the produce from her OWN garden! We all had our tasks and upon their completion, we enjoyed a delicious dinner. She was in touch before the event AND emailed recipes afterwards so we can make them again at home. It was a real treat!

We met up with Jennifer on a Friday morning at the Pike Place Market to begin our cooking class. Quickly we found out it was so much more than that, and that Jennifer was going to spend the three plus hours with us sharing not just her cooking expertise, but her love of shopping for epicurean delights, of the Market, and of elegant dining. We visited four different Market shops and learned lots about their history and the best items they offer. We learned a short-cut from the Market to the light rail, and that parking on Beacon Hill makes the trip quick and thrifty. We helped prepare our three-course lunch, which was delicious, but Jennifer put a stop to the participation to wait on us like royalty for our lunch on her deck overlooking her amazing garden and view toward the mountains. We left this delight for the senses just a bit too full, and then were so happy to get the recipes we prepared, plus a bonus one that we have already served three times in the month since our class. We’ve already booked a return to her class, since we are eager to share the experience with close friends.

Cooking a meal with Jennifer was truly a wonderful experience. She was so welcoming and made it such a fun and informative experience as she taught us to make fresh pasta, an almond cake, and a delicious salad. We truly appreciate all the thought she put into our experience. Jennifer is warm, very knowledgeable, and a true professional - an excellent teacher. I highly recommend booking a lesson with her for a date night activity, but I’d say you don’t need a special occasion - you will have a blast no matter what. Thank you again Jennifer!

We booked a Saturday morning tour with Jennifer and had a blast! From learning about the history of Pike Place, the local vendors, and shopping tips, to exploring a new cuisine (Persian) and picking up some cooking tips, it was a memorable experience and time well spent. Would absolutely recommend!!!

We had the most incredible evening with Jennifer at Pike to Plate. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and I wanted to surprise him with not only a delicious dinner but something that would let us spend some quality time together as well. After booking with Jennifer, the communication via email was great, she took note of allergies and food aversions. She created a local and fresh meal for us. When we arrived at her home, it was cozy, we were greeted by the warmest smile and excitement to have us. The kitchen was very well laid out with beautiful and fresh Ingredients. We discussed a little about how we would execute the cooking and learn a bit along the way. I was so impressed with how well she knew the menu and order of events we would prep so the soup, meal and dessert would all be finished in their perfect times. We had a wonderful time, it was fun and carefree, Jennifer is so knowledgeable, fun and talented. You could really tell that she was passionate about cooking but was equally as passionate about making sure we had a good time as well. I can’t put into words how perfect she made this experience. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic meal, educational experience and just a pleasant evening.

Our experience with Jennifer was incredible! It felt very personal and she made us feel welcome the entire time we were there! She tailored the experience to my and my partner’s interests. Additionally, she made everything dairy-free because I can’t digest dairy very well. We opted for a North African-themed menu, because we did not know much about that cuisine. She taught us about the history of certain ingredients in North African cooking (e.g., how rose water was discovered, the differences in harissa pastes), and told us about some of her favorite vendors in Pike Place Market and the history of some of the stores. The food that we made was so delicious, and she shared the recipes with us! I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a great date night activity and/or wants to learn more about cooking in a small setting.

We did a cooking class with Jennifer last month as a surprise for my boyfriends 30th. We had SUCH an amazing time! Jennifer was really welcoming and met us where we were at in terms of skills. We can’t recommend her class enough and hope to return soon!

Pike to Plate was a great experience from beginning to end. We arrived and shopped for supplies and heard about the history of Pike Place Market. It was great because even though I have visited there before, I didn’t know the history. The light rail was close, so we took that to her place to start cooking. She has a fabulous kitchen. Jennifer taught us so many great techniques for preparing food and about ingredients that I had never used before. In our group, we had beginners and novice cooks, but we all felt comfortable with her teaching. Her experience of being a teacher if evident of how well she did at explaining,as all three of us prepared the meal. We all had a great time. She had a beautiful table set for us with our names on the glasses. We had a great time and I plan to do it again. I also loved that she had aprons for us so we didn’t get our clothes dirty. This was my Christmas present from my husband, and it was the best present. Thank you Jennifer.
