Review Tangerine Tree - Seattle

To be honest I never dined in this place, wanted to, but did not. However I have tasted their food & it’s yumm. I suggested to go here, at the same time wanted to try another place, so while 2 friends went here, I got to sample their takeaway. They took a chicken Com Chein a beautiful flavourful Fried Rice with peas, egg & grilled chicken, was excellent loved every morsel of the spoonful I stole from my friend. Next was a nicely spiced, chicken noodles, HU Tiew Xao, a type of Flat & wide Noodles with brown sauce, chicken & veggies. Very nicely seasoned, wonderfully cooked flat noodles & spicy chicken. After tasting these more than a couple of spoonfuls, I was tempted to share this experience, with a promise of going back trying their other beautiful offerings, soon.

Great service & great pho! Friendly staff, perfect comfort food. One of my quick go-to’s! CW: overly dramatic food post. Honestly, I’m not very spiritual. I am greatly moved by many things, but not very spiritual. I’ve noticed that one of the only rituals that I really do is prepare my pho 🍲 It delights me to stir in the slices of jalapeño to let the spice start blossoming, peel apart the slices of rare beef, spritz the wedge of lime into the broth, tear the cilantro leaves and sprinkle them into the bowl, chiffonade the basil with my finger tips, drizzle on the hoisin and red chili sauces, and finally CONSUME 😋 #basickitchenwitch #soupforlyfe #phoreals #sophokinggood

Took sledge's review advice and got the tangerine tree rice, along with pork spring rolls (which were huge), and fried rice. I was NOT disappointed. There was a little mixup as to which dish had which level of spice, but it was all delicious. Even in a to-go order, the food was pretty, and matched their photos. I can only imagine it would be even better dining in.

My coworker and I always try to figure out what we are going to munch on for lunch. We looked around in Cap Hill, & I am sooo happy we found this place. From the food to the customer service it beats eating the same mundane meals. The Shrimp Vermicelli was banging. It was so good we went back the next day. The atmosphere is chill and clean. Great customer service, good prices and the food taste fresh. You cannot beat it!!

Hadn't been to this place when they were the Tangerine Tree, but now they are Crane's Landing with new owners. Super friendly welcome and service. Bon mi was great with generous portion of pork on a crusty roll. Got to taste the pho and it was very flavorful. Prices are reasonable for generous portions. Will definitely come back to try more menu options.

We moved down the street not long ago so we decided to stop by one day with no expectations and get take out. I was surprised at the fact that they have quiet a few vegan options on their menu. The younger woman that was there was so wonderful to deal with and went above and beyond to go through the menu with us and the vegan alternatives. The food was phenomenal. We have been back to eat here 3 times since inside the restaurant. 2/3 the same woman was not here instead an older woman. I think she may be one of the owners, unfortunately she is not as friendly. I’m not sure if it’s a language barrier thing or a racial thing but quiet frankly I don’t feel like eating here when she’s serving me any more. Look people in the eye, when they say thank you, you say you’re welcome. It’s very easy to be nice and professional, customers will return.

The food is actually quite amazing. We ordered the fried tofu, combination pho, pork and rice, and deep fried egg rolls. Quite tasty. The point off is for the owner’s little kid who kept making gagging sounds near the customers. The sound does not please anyone’s appetite. It made me a bit nauseous and not able to eat at one moment. Other than that, I’d recommend coming to this restaurant for the food.

I got the bun bo hue and it was delicious. The brisket was great! You can tell it was cooked on site. It's different than the dry sad brisket at most pho places. It's soft and tender. The viet sausage is great too, lemongrassy and umami. Great for a rainy day.

Definitely very clean and refined. I'd say the prices aren't as low as some other Vietnamese food places in the area, but the location is great, the food was incredible, and the service is kind and fast. I highly recommend the tangerine tree vermicelli bowl. Very large and filling with a wonderful array of meats and delicious dipping sauce!
