I wanted to give this place a 5 star! Family owned business and I want to give back. They were so sweet. I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile now. We mainly wanted appetizers and drinks and the food did not disappoint. Their alcohol selection is pretty much non existent. Only one beer on tap and yellow tail for wine. We opted out for wine for obvious reasons. Ha! We got some sake instead. Quick service and the main dishes looked promising when others were being served. Cute little quaint spot for a great meal!

I love this little spot! The owners/staff are super nice and you can see them cooking in the open kitchen. The drunken noodles are my favorite! You can place orders online for pick up at specific times which is really convenient.

Satay time!
After coffee, walking around Greenwood found this Satay place. We just ordered Chicken Satay and nothing else. The chicken was perfect on the stick. The peanut sauce and the veggies in vinegar that came along with it was amazing.
Good, friendly owners and staff.
Street parking available for this restaurant.
Will come back for more!

Super cute and friendly hole in the wall spot for thai food! We got the coconut prawns, pad see sew, and crispy garlic chicken. Also must try the thai iced tea. Host was very personable and food was served hot!

Such a cute hidden gem in my neighborhood. It’s easy to overlook Satay Bar with the myriad of choices you have in Greenwood, but doing so would be an absolute mistake. Their menu is elegantly simple so you won’t feel intimidated by choice. The satay I had was a revelation, a perfect balance of flavors and the perfect size to accompany it with another appetizer. The staff were a delight and added to the cozy and friendly atmosphere they’ve cultivated. Perfect for a stop in on your lunch break, or an intimate dinner. If you haven’t eaten here already and you live in the area, you’re sorely missing out.

Hands down one of my favorite places in Seattle! Every time I’m in the city Satay Bar is at the top of my list to go to. Everything is so delicious and the owners + staff are very friendly! Even with a slightly reduced menu you can always ask if they can make something off the menu and they might be able to :) 100000/10 recommended!!

We’ve been living in Greenwood for over a decade. Tried every spot multiple times.
If Satay bar is open - go here. It’s BY FAR our go to. The best we’ve had in Seattle, every time.
Stop searching. Order here.

Our food was very flavorful with perfectly cooked steak and shrimp. The place was half empty, which ensured we got our dinner quickly! We’ll be back.

Let me put things this way: if I found Satay bar earlier on in the pandemic, I’d probably be out a lot more money right now.
Cute little location on Phinney with ample parking. The place is run by a husband and wife duo from Thailand where they used to run a few other restaurants. They’re extremely kind and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your meal is excellent.
I’ve tried about five different dishes, but my absolute favorite by far is the chicken pad thai. The sauce is very unique, nothing like other pad thai sauces I’ve tasted elsewhere. If you ask the duo, they’ll tell you that the sauce recipe comes from their time running a food cart in Thailand where they started including... ketchup. Yes, ketchup. It’s amazing.
This place is lovely and run by lovely people. 100% recommend.
