The black eyed peas jambalaya is a great winter warmer! For nicer weather, a blackened catfish poboy on the sidewalk patio is a welcome respite. The owner is very friendly and this is a great small local business without all the Pike Place touristy pretension. It's on my short list of places to hit up when I'm downtown and hungry.

Had lunch there for the first time today -- a very tasty blackened chicken Po Boy with organic greens salad. The staff was delightful and friendly, the service quick, and the food fresh. I will return! It was lovely to sit by the windows and people watch while eating too.

Great gumbo and jambalaya! They are very open to customizing your order... Don't want sausage...no problem. Extra rice...yep!
The owners are great and the food is wonderful.

As a transplant Washingtonian having been raised, reared, and brought up in Louisiana I was blown away about how much the Crayfish Etoufee of Bayou on first cafe and the Crayfish Etoufee of back home bore such similarities the only thing missing from the Crayfish Etoufee of Bayou on first cafe was the kick (*Spiciness*) I'm used to with the Crayfish Etoufee of back home in Louisiana but other than that WOW!!
