Cafe Javasti has been my go-to for well over a decade. The bakery case items are just wonderful and the crepes are coffee are great. Nice neighborly vibe. Baked items are made at their off site bakery, where they service both the Maple Leaf and Wedgwood cafes and do catering. Get the chocolate zucchini bread if you can.
There are many tasty crepe options. Beware if you go during a packed weekend rush it will be a wait as they only have two crepe griddles.
Staff has always been nice with no hipster vibe.
It can be a little loud when it's busy with concrete floors.
Nice cozy little coffee ☕ shop, I was here early on a Sunday morning 7:15am. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. I had a mocha Coffee (very good btw) and pumpkin bread (very good as well). They had nice different music on, good change of pace.
I sat inside to eat and people kept coming in one after another.
They do have a few seats out front, but I'm sure on a nice day they go fast.
Overall great place to go and sit and talk with a friend or loved one, take a break from the fast pace, come sit and enjoy some coffee and food. 👍
Grabbed a hearty breakfast meal at Cafe Javasti. The Savory Crepes menu caught my eye and did not disappoint. #11 Chicken, pesto, mozzarella and tomato. It was truly a winning combination.
Ordered a hot chocolate, iced almond milk latte, banana Nutella crepe, and a chicken pesto crepe. All were tasty! I liked the cute colorful mini marshmallows on the hot chocolate and liked how full the banana Nutella crepe was. A good balance of Nutella, banana, and the crepe itself was a good thinness. The almond milk latte was also not overly espresso-y or milky, it was very refreshing.
One of the older coffee shops in North Seattle, this place has been in existence since the early 2000's. It has the usual selection of coffees, teas, and pastries, plus a crepe maker so you can have a bigger breakfast if you like. Interior is spacious and inviting, with artwork decorating the walls that rotates each month. The baristas are all knowledgeable about their craft, and have a rapport with the regular customers in the neighborhood. There is also limited outdoor seating in good weather. The best bet on the pastries are the scones, more on the flaky side rather than crunchy, with a light glaze of frosting on top. A very good spot to relax, have a morning cup, and watch the world go by.
First time checking out this place, and I wish I had gone here sooner! The crepes were super tasty, and the atmosphere is cozy but open. Definitely will have to go back!
Nice neighborhood cafe! They provide several decent bakery and coffee. However their mocha was a little bit watery. Overall, it's a good place to stay for your spare time.
Try the #8 buckwheat crepe w ham, Swiss, spinach and tarragon sauce. The Americano was very good as well. Service is friendly and kind, going the extra mile. Highly recommend!
I love this place! Very friendly staff, and very quick service, even when there's a long line. The coffee is perfect, and the crepes are fantastic, whichever variety you choose. I haven't tried many of their pastries, but loved the ones I have had. It's roomy, but cozy, and quiet, exactly the way it should be when I have my coffee!
Pleasant experience and in a great location! I found the staff to be kind and positive! The savory crepe, number #8 (ham, Swiss, spinach and tarragon sauce), was so amazing! I will be a frequent visitor when I return to Seattle!
