It's not for everyone. I must say, the flavors of food this place offers is a bit adventurous in comparison to the rest of the food on the AVE, so that could be why most people don't like it.
This place rules though. There's really not much I can say, you kind of have to try it for yourself.
Martinis. The martinis here are strong and wickedly vegan.
For the price you can’t beat it and even after so many years it hasn’t changed. The bartender is very nice and always made us fresh drinks. The only complaint is they don’t have AC and in the summer it is very hot - with this the drinks could use a bit more ice.
Friendly owner, great ambiance, music.. and of course food and drinks. For now check on dine-in capacity and restrictions but please support our local restaurants! Flowers Bar and Restaurant has been here for 30 years!! Drop by for a bite or take-out!
The drink was strong, to I didnt feel cheated by price. It was pretty tasty too. The sandwich was pretty good and not the only vegetarian option. The fries werent great. The place is kind of dark but I love the lights, wood, decorations and the ceiling is a big mirror. Pretty cool looking place. Staff was nice too.
Before going out to do lights at The Neptune we would stop off here and get some food and drink before a big night.

Funky bar and restaurant with a good selection of cocktails. The decor is worth it on it's own.
I was in the u district and didn't know where to go. Their cocktails are definitely aimed at college kids, dirty and cheap. But they're pretty good. Def a dive bar
I can't decide if i want them to fix their signs, or leave the place perpetually looking like it's about to collapse. Regardless, this is easily one of the best bars on the Ave. Unbeatable atmosphere and unbelievably cheap drinks. Plus it's across the street from the light rail.
Crowded yet considerate, great table service, yet I cant wait for the curry muscle dish to reappear.
This place has an amazing atmosphere, a caring and responsive owner, affordable drinks, and incredible music coming from vintage speakers.
There are too many haters out there because they don't like the owner well they can go somewhere else. The world is moving on so come on the flowers get an affordable drink and enjoy your life Don't be a sheep.
I came for a beer and was hungry so I figured I settle for some food. Knowing it it’s an alcohol focused placed, I thought food would be basic. To my surprise, The fries and burger were both very amazing. The chef has good taste in quality.
