I’d like to give a review from a Mexican/Colombian person that grew up eating authentic Mexican. I loved the food. The meat was very flavorful, and I’m very particular about how food is seasoned because I’m used to delicious, well-seasoned homemade Mexican food. Everything was great, and I’d highly recommend it. I was nervous because of the poor reviews, but I am so happy I came. The kids play area was another selling feature because it’s a nice sized area for kids to play, run around, and make friends. I loved it all around❤️❤️❤️

Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. There are several different seating options which is nice. They have patio, bar, main dining and upstairs seating. Upstairs is a play area but the seating is limited to two bigger tables and some bar type seating against the wall. Bathroom is on the main floor and has a diaper changing station (for all those parents out there). Overall it was a good experience and I will be going back.

Friendly staff, tasty Mexican food, clean and nicely styled interior. We went at happy hour on a Monday so it was quiet and orders came out fast - deals are OK. Nut free except for a desert that's prepared off site. Oh and that have 2 Simpsons arcade machines. #elBarto 🙂

This is a family friendly spot, which means it can get a little loud. We tend to just eat at the bar as there's often a wait for a table and the table service has been hit or miss in the past. Their margaritas are good and nachos are a personal favorite, though a little atypical with the cheese sauce.

Very good and affordable happy hour, try the tacos, mexican corn and watermelon. Brunches are great, and chilaquiles are worth the try. Drink menu can be a bit broader

Bomb!
To start, I want to address the elephant in the room, comments made by others regarding the "authenticity" of their food. Let's be frank, it's called super bueno. Not súper bueno or estupenda. So do we even need to address the authenticity?
But let's address the important things:
1. The ambiance - top notch! I couldn't get over all the amazing flare, the awesome artwork and murals, and the vibrant colors
2. The service - it's quickly become a busy spot and we hit it during happy hour, but our server Ben was rad! He was extremely friendly and on top of everything.
3. The food - super bueno! The guacamole was yummy, the queso was on point, and the quesadillas hit the spot.
This is a family friendly spot that even had a kid area on the top floor. Smart idea!
Definitely a new favorite in Fremont!

Friendly service, friendly bartender, helped us pick the most delicious food: the chilled watermelon (pop rocks!!!) and the chicken nachos. The chicken especially was super tasty, and the cheese was saucy, which I'm into.

A little slow getting our check, but otherwise delicious. Great con queso and even better street corn!

We love this place! I have to admit I was skeptical as ESR has pasta/pizza down, but can he do Mexican? Um, nailed it! The regular menu is a tad pricey but the happy hour is a killer steal. Every taco we had (carnitas, brisket, blackened chx) was spot on - moist, tender, and flavorful.... and their Mexican street corn was authentic and brought me back to my teenage years in D.F. Lastly, the margarita is sour-mix (or fresh lemon juice) heavy but packs a punch! This place was such an unexpected surprise we went back two days in a row!

We have been anxiously anticipating the opening of a more family friendly Ethan Stowell restaurant, and were not disappointed with our first visit! We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, and between the six of us we tried several tacos, chips/salsa/guacamole, the cucumbers, watermelon (with pop rocks!), jalapeños, and nachos. They were all excellent, and the service was fantastic. The nachos and watermelon were the real MVPs of the meal! A few of the items were slightly overpriced but the happy hour menu is a great deal. We will be back frequently
