The coffee is great, the food is scrumptious, and the people are wonderful. Love this place, so happy to have this cafe in Beacon Hill!
Had my first Torta from here and I can’t stop thinking about it! Sooooo good! Great place.
One of the best tamales I've ever had! My mocha is delicious, as well. Family owned and ran business with great customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. Avoiding rush hour and getting some work done this evening.
The tamales were excellent, better than homemade. Very friendly people and great place to hang around...m
My husband brought three varieties of VEGAN TAMALES home from Cafetal Quilombo for me. I am typing this in-between bites because they are SO GOOD and I have to let you all know! Cross-posting on Vegan City Seattle page..
Amazing tamales and the Mexican Coffee...ahhh 💕délicieux!
I'm a fan, the owners are very friendly and the tamales are great, tasty and big. Good breakfast as well.
In LOVE with the citrus mocha (con leche de vaca ! ;D ), and their tamales are SOOOO GOOOD! Definitely going to be making this my regular coffee shop hangout. :D

Tomorrow I am hoping for Poole but if they have menudo my husband will enjoy that not me but I will try tostadas
Amazing homemade Tamales!! Can't wait to come back or to order some for the house.
Heard they had tamales, which I love, so stopped by and they had 4 different kinds! Tasted awesome! Will be back again
Being from Oaxaca myself, I instantly recognized the styles of dishes native to my Home State. I come up here once a year and will make it a tradition to have meals here when I do.
This is a good, no frills and authentic Mexican Food restaurant. The tortillas were homemade and very fresh. I ordered 4 different tacos, birria and chips & salsa. The pork and chorizo tacos were excellent, the chicken mole and asada tacos were okay. The birria was good, but I prefer queso birria (birria with cheese). Overall, this is a good and very affordable Mexican Restaurant.
The best 🫔 tamales. We get a dozen to go @ $3.75 each!
The food here is authentic and delicious! It reminds me of my grandma and aunts cooking and they’re from Mexico! Will always eat here anytime I’m in Seattle. Everything was delicious we even ordered dinner to go at lunch time so we can eat it again later! Highly recommend! Everything is fresh and made to order! They are also willing to customize my order with extras and made it perfect!!!!
this eating place is your south american heritage. the food is authentic and fresh plenty of pickings but i always go for the queso birra with sour cream and guac add rice and beans. a must! una cocina de madres food pic( insert) (insert)
Been coming here for a couple years now and haven’t had a single bad experience. The staff are superb and the atmosphere is wonderful. Not to mention how great and authentic the food is (best tamales around). Highly recommend this awesome neighborhood spot
I visited Cafetal Quilombo on a Monday afternoon after the typical lunch hour. I placed an order by phone and the food was all ready when I showed up 15-20 minutes later. I ordered a green salsa chicken tamale, a chicken mole tamale, a red and a green salsa pork tamale, a chorizo torta, and a chile relleno burrito. Everything was excellent. The tamales were large and the mole had a interesting depth while the salsas had nice flavors as well. The chorizo torta was very filling and tasty as well. My favorite thing was the chile relleno burrito with several cheese stuffed peppers inside the burrito as well as the crema and salsa they put on the side that really added more creaminess and freshness to the burrito. Definitely a worthwhile visit and I hope to return!
Cute, homey, hole-in-the wall mom & pop cafe. Very flavorful and large sized tamales to choose from. Recommend the Pablano and Cheese. The chorizo could be more moist and fattier. Delicious Mexican rice with onions. Wished they offered breakfast tacos and had house-handmade tortillas.
Large selection of handmade tamales as well as other dishes. Their they're Mexican style coffee with orange and spices is really good too, as well as other lattes. It's a little expensive for me because I'm low income but you can eat for under $10 or have a larger meal for under 20
We were traveling from out of town looking for the best burrito. We decided on this place and revisited it twice within the same week because it was so delicious! Cannot give enough recommendations to this place, 10/10 highly recommend.
