My sister really likes this breakfast joint, so when I flew into town for a less than 24 hour trip … she insisted we have breaky.
This is my 2nd time here. Thankfully, it’s comfortably busy, meaning popular enough to sustain business but not-so-busy you can’t get a table.
Our server was friendly, fast and accurate. We started with Irish Coffee to start our bender. Then I rolled with Farmers Benedict. Not sure what my sister ordered.
The ambiance is subtly loud with conversation and positive energy. The decor is simple, yet clean (admittedly I’m here for a good time, not a long time. Let alone judge the decoration!)
The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are to die for!! The cream on it is soooo good! The chilaquiles, chicken fried steak, fruit and berry bowls, and the carnitas breakfast plate are very tasty as well. I've been to this location a few times with a variety of different sized groups and with that, a lot of things have been observed. The bathroom is always clogged, the hash browns are hit or miss on cooked level, and almost every other entree we've tried has been average. In recent memory I've been there 5 times and had a different server every time, so I'm not going to mention anything about service. Overall, 100% go if you want the lemon pancakes, 70/30 if you want any other breakfast.
Service was excellent. Our coffees stayed full and hot throughout breakfast. The food came out quickly. Swedish pancakes are basically Crepes, just FYI. The ligonberries are very tart and not very sweet.
No wonder this place draws a crowd, the food is unbelievably good. The service is quick and friendly. I loved my fish tacos and my granddaughter loved her pancakes.
One of my new favorite places for breakfast & lunch! This was my first time coming in a little bit later in the day, so I decided to try the lunch menu and got “The Kitchen Sink” tuna sandwich which was pretty good. I’ve had their Eggs Benedict with a biscuit too, but definitely want to keep going and try their other items. I appreciate the reasonable prices, which is hard to find in Seattle!!
I've passed by here countless times and finally decided to try it. I think I've found a new diner-style breakfast spot
The Elvis French Toast is surprisingly good, and VERY filling.
The ambient was nice, waiters extremely attentive, food quality was good. The portions seem small compared to other restaurants that load the plates but it’s enough to feel satisfied.
We ordered the pancakes, the French toast, and huevos rancheros. If you are not a fan of tomato, I would not recommend the huevos rancheros.
we brought my sister-in-law for birthday breakfast here. My wife ordered the French toast breakfast and my sister-in-law and I both ordered the steak and eggs breakfast. The place was impeccably clean, the waitresses are friendly and welcoming. The food came out quick and the taste was delicious. We will definitely be back whenever we are in town. Keep up the great work and quality!!
The best easy-access, family-friendly, diner-style restaurant in Ballard. Been coming here for many years and seeing the same employees over the years says a lot about the company. Bravo. One thing I’d like to see is they become more environmentally friendly and reduce the amount of plastic used for kids water cups, butter, syrup, etc. I understand that’s easier said then done. Thanks for listening.
Being a person who never spent a day without having an egg , this is the place which is a must go place for breakfast or brunch in Seattle . We had brunch on the weekend before going to diablo lake and it was a great start of the day. We really enjoyed the food along with the food portion. Being a team of 15 people we almost order most of the variations. Not naming each of the food as we loved everything! Surely visit again !
