Dingfelder’s Delicatessen - Seattle - Photo album

My husband and I found this place while going to another restaurant to eat. The matzo ball soup was excellent better yet was the Rachel grilled pastrami sandwich with everything it was the best we have ever had. We will definitely be back. The bake goods also look very yummy
Wow! A real delicatessen on Capitol Hill in Seattle! Authentic Jewish deli with meats by the pound, baked goods, desserts, sandwiches, bagels, catering, dine-in and takeout. Excellent quality, reminds of when I was a kid. So happy I've discovered this spot (late) finally! :)
I can’t recommend this place enough! As a former east coaster, I’ve struggled to find a Deli in the PNW that comes to close to the food back home. I can say without a doubt that Dingfelder’s is parallel if not better than anything you can find on the east coast or anywhere else for that matter. The
Better than Katz Deli in NYC. Come with an appointment. Leave with the meat sweats. I've been coming here once a year since 2019 for lunch during PAX. Everything has been superb. The corned beef. The pastrami. Both types of housemade pickles. The rye bread. Nothing here leaves me or anyone I've drag
Small number of tables with self-service, a friendly staff, very cold (take a coat). Challenging street parking only. Something wasn't totally thawed on the lox and bagel sandwich--made for an unenjoyable meal. Take-out pastrami was tasty. Question the $$$ value here.
I finally found a good Jewish deli in the Seattle area: Dingfelder’s on East Pine, Capitol Hill. The matzah ball soup was the best I’ve had, as was the chopped liver on rye sandwich. I also appreciated that the proprietor was welcoming and eager to make a new customer feel at home.
My friend had sent me some of their Matza ball soup a few months back when I was under the weather and I loved it. As I am fighting my cold, I decided to test it out. I ordered the pastrami sandwich Seattle style. Not knowing it came with a side of pickles and coleslaw, I ordered a side of pickles a
I’m from Cleveland and know good Deli (shout out Corky & Lenny’s). Dingfelder’s is top notch. We get leftovers to nosh for the week. Would recommend the smoked salmon by the pound (it isn’t lox) and tuna salad. A frequent stop for me, especially for a hot matzo ball soup or noodle kugel. Vance runs
Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen… you will be back. I don’t know how many places in seattle sells brisket and frankly after trying dingfelders I really don’t care because this place has the best brisket sandwich. I made a huge mistake going to jacks BBQ for brisket, DO NOT GO THERE! RI
After coming back from Katz Deli in NY, I was wondering if Seattle has anything even close. Well, to my surprise, direct comparison, this place is close. Their fresh Latkes with applesauce and cream cheese is better then Katz. Their sandwich meet is put on nice and thick, almost as much as Katz. The
Had a blast with my two ladies and enjoyed a succulent east coast feast. We had a taste of everything and it was all so very good. The food was amazing, the staff, exemplary. It's the best odlf everything you want it to be. The owner was very attentive and gave so much thought to what our group want
I liked it and will return. That said, as long as your tip options are 20/30/40 for self serve dine in on takeout containers, I’ll continue to hit the 0 tip option. Didn’t even bring me napkins or a cup of water and you want 40% extra.
The matzo ball soup is so hearty and warm for the soul -- great for days you're feeling under the weather! The sandwiches are also bomb. Love the brisket and the pastrami. CHEESECAKE 🤤 The owner and staff are also so friendly and nice; honestly would come back just for them. 11/10 would recommend
My wife and I are big fans of Dingfelder’s. She’s vegan and while their menu is meat heavy, their daily soup is always vegan. Cabbage (pictured) is the best! I’m a fan of the pastrami and brisket sandwiches. My only qualm is the price, if it was 25% cheaper I would probably order from them twice as
Seriously, this is the best pastrami I've ever had in my life. The rye bread is supposedly from Blazing Bagels and it is delicately soft where everything just melts in your mouth. Fresh coleslaw and pickles on the side were great condiments. Their matzo ball soup is amazing. Well worth the money and
Came here with my wife while on a business trip to Seattle. It is about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute Uber from the convention center. What can I say, it was WORTH the walk in every way. We just had Katz Deli in NY a few months ago and with that experience fresh in our minds, we tried Dingfelder’s a
Vance is the greatest; friendly to all and with a great sense of humor. The food is SUBLIME. It is the best deli food since leaving Brooklyn. He made kasha varnishkes tonight and it was scrumptious. The meats are piled high on the bread, as they should be, just like in NY. The matzoh ball soup is li
