Uncle Lee's, friendly efficient service
Some of the best Chinese food around.
Spicy won tons a must have appetizer, the move on to moo shoo pork, well worth the 30 minute drive we have to get there
Uncle Lee's, formerly China Village, is the best of this kind of restaurant outside of the International District. It used to be strictly Chinese (Chinese-American) but with the name change came Thai staples to their menu. Phad Thai, Basil Chicken, Phad Kee Mao, Squid with Basil, and all the Curries are represented as well.
Their Phad Thai is as good as I've had, seriously. When they were China Village their menu featured 10 ingredient special Lo Mein. The new menu does not feature it but they will make it for you. Fresh noodles or not, Iternational district or not, it is my families favorite lo Mein in the city, and with their Phad Thai they represent noodles well. The Lo Mein is deliciously smokey. They also don't overcook their proteins.
It is a great restaurant for the neighborhood to eat in or take out, and Amy, host and owner will remember you forever and is genuinely excited to see and wait on you!
Uncle Lee's Kitchen. I love this place. My daughter and I had Mongolian Beef, Salt Pepper Tofu, String Beans and side of perfectly cooked White Rice.
I've had the beef 4 or 5 times now.
Quality, consistency and taste the exact same each time. Nice creamy smooth meat glaze.
It was so good I ordered the same exact meal to go.
Uncle Lee is working the front as well as the rear of the house.
He is very popular with the customers.
Restaurant is spotless. Same with the kitchen. He gave me a 5 minute tour. Staff is very friendly.
I noticed as busy as the kitchen was. It was noticably spotless as well.
This place is wonderful. the owner is super friendly and chatty, says he has been in that spot for 37 years. The place looks super nice and not as ethnic looking. Looks like a nice hotel restaurant type of place. The food was great. I had the pad kee mao, aka drunken noodles. Delicious, the wife had the lunch special green curry with pad thai, niece had the Mongolian beef and pad thai. Both taste great. The daughter had her special egg fried rice, and I always have to ask to make sure because some place doesn't want to make eggsonly, fried rice. Great guy who enjoys his guests. Uncle Lee is a good man, so close to the children's hospitals, and treats his customers great.
This is the first restaurant review I've ever written. That's how awesome this place was. The staff are some of the kindest, warmest people I've met. I cannot remember the last time I was treated this well... ever. The food was delicious and very fresh and piping hot (we recommend the chicken lettuce wraps and the cumin beef). We will definitely be back!
We ordered takeout, and the person who answered the phone was very friendly. The order was accurate. I’m not gonna knock off stars for atmosphere when I didn’t eat inside, but it looked nice. There was a TV visible from the dining area, and that’s a huge turn off for me. The food was very good, tho. Only knocking off a star for the broccoli beef dish, which was a garlic bomb. It was too much garlic, really, it overpowered the dish. That said, if that’s how you like your broccoli beef, you will like it. I will try other dishes next time. And there will definitely be a next time.
I just love this place. Lee is the nicest person and always makes us feel at home. The wonton and corn chicken soup are outstanding. All the food is delicious and fresh. It’s a staple for us- we are happy to support this local business.
Uncle Lee’s is a neighborhood gem and a go-to comfort for our family. Though we‘ve only ever gotten takeout, I’m always struck by the warm and inviting interactions I have with the staff when I pick up our order. They are kind and genuine. The food is always delicious and the quality and portions are consistent. Family favorites are Hunan Style Tofu, Sesame Chicken, Sautéed String Beans and Fried Rice.
The food and service are fantastic and this place has a great atmosphere ! We had the best experience with the owner as well. I highly recommend this place !!!
Also it is very family friendly as well ☺️
Best chinese food I've had in seattle. Food was delicious and you couldn't even tell that it was made gluten free. Chose this place based on reviews for gluten-free options. Their menu doesn't mention gluten free options, but the owner said most items can be made gluten free. The owner was very nice, super helpful, and even made sure to show us the food when we came to pick up to ensure we were happy. Will definitely be going back! Some reviews have mentioned that they are a little expensive, but you get a lot for what you pay for. A dinner take out order is easily enough for two people.
First time trying. Got some lunch since my workplace is in close proximity. They were quick. Only issue I had was not sure if they understood what I wanted over the phone.food that i did get was good. I do like the take-out containers as well.
Excellent restaurant - the owner and staff are all very friendly and the menu and cooking are very good! Clean with easy parking.
