Had the most amazing vegetarian home cooked meal here. All the items were amazing and tasted just like at home. The thali, parantha, masala dosa and chai were mouth watering. Will definitely recommend this place for home style food and will come back for sure :-)
The food is amazing. The chef is a white American guy but he is a master of Indian food and flavors. The service however seems to be designed after some kind of Hindu lesson in patience.
Authentic homestyle Indian food. Every time I dine here it takes me back home. The food is made & served with love. The ambience & staff is great. All in all a wonderful dining experience :)
Awesome restaurant! I felt like I was transported back to India! And the food was glorious - so clean in taste. Excited to go back and try the other dishes!
Best Indian food I have had in a long time. Reminded me of my grandmother's cooking!
The food here is fresh, home made, as authentic as possible. This is an Indian restaurant which is not in business to merely make money but to serve the real Indian food as fresh as possible.. The chapati's are just wonderful. I wish we had this in Redmond.
ALWAYS delicious, nutritious, and friendly. We live in the neighborhood and bring all of our out-of-town guests here. Since each month features a new Thali, it never gets old!
Very authentic Indian food here. You can get Thali.
Awesome ambience and best place in Seattle to have Indian thali.
Absolutely loved it! Food and service was excellent!
My absolute favorite indian restaurant in Seattle.
The best Indian food I have had in the US
I'm biased by working here, but I work here because I love the food!

... went for the first time this evening... to say I was impressed would be an understatement...
... I had the Full Thali, a dozen or so dishes of the most delicious food I have had in memory...
... the cuisine is vegetarian and I am not, but the food knocked me out and left my tastebuds screaming for MORE!!!
... if you like Indian food, PLEASE keep Alan and Leon and Mary and the rest of the superb crew in business and give your tongue and your tummy a treat. The Travelers Thali House is at 2524 Beacon Av S, and they're open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 9...
Best Indian food ever , and wonderful info about India .
A quaint lovely place serving Indian cuisine. Though the name says thali, which is their speciality, they have an alacarte menu.
The food is excellent : not your typical Indian fare. Wish the service was also on par. The staff are friendly, but getting attention and food does take time.
Pretty close to authentic Indian home made food... only less spicy. Only reason for deducting a star is chapati.. it was frozen one.
Had full size thali, and i was able to finish it along with a lassi.
Staff was super friendly.
All in all I will come back again.
Forget to mention.. salty lassi was pretty spicy and one of the best I've had recently.
Edit: bumping to 5 start after my 2nd visit. Don't miss Seattle's best salt lassi.
One of the best indian food places I have ever been to in USA. Its a new regional taste every month and the preparations are tasty and worth a shot. Definitely recommended!!
We had pakoras and Chai alongwith coconut burfi at this place and i must say that this unique restaurant is a must visit for anyone in Seattle. Great food variety, huge quantity and superb quality and not to forget awesome service . They are favorite with locals and for us visitors, this place turned out to be such a delightful finding. I wish we would have stayed here long so that we could relish their each and every dish on the menu. Must, must, must visit this restaurant
Loved it. The food didnt have the oily quality found in a lot of other restaurants. It allhad such a fresh "homecooked" feel. The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and the people there feel comforting if that makes any sense. Their samosas are the best somosas I've ever had.

We ordered assorted pakora, a banana lassi and 2 full thali. The pakora were really nice. The thali was presented really well, however, the taste was average.
Good food. Lack spices a bit, but I can’t blame the chef as it’s based on how people prefer in States.
Good thing is they serve / cook freshly prepared meals. So when we asked for thali we had to wait 1 hour . Exactly!!!!
That too during the time of LUNCH on weekend. So be prepared for that. Pack some snacks which if you wnna go over there.
Apart from that it’s an authentic restaurant. both special thali and normal Punjabi thali are good. I would go for a war for the gulab jamun they serve. :)
PS: Kindly like the review if you find this helpful. Thank You
I love the food and the quantity of it. Worth spending $$ here. Masala chai was awesome
The food is really good, very authentic and flavorful. Since they are permanently closing, the wait is crazy long... Bring a book
Still clean, fresh and tasty food. They will take sometime to get the food but it's worth the wait
The place itself is homely and cozy.. Service is great and food is good different..
Homemade indian food, with great taste, top indian restaurant in Washington, It's a hidden gem, because it's hard to find without Google maps because it's inside a house and there is only street parking.
Omg. Shut up. Is there a sixth star option? This place is amazing. The menu rotates once a month, and I will be back every month.
Food is delicious. Tastes like home made. The place is cozy and has a good ambience. The only downside is that the wait time is too long. They serve different Thalis during different times of the year. The quantity, though sufficient doesn't match the quantity you expect in an Indian 'Thali' keeping in mind that the price is a little high.
I really liked the food here, the Thali, garlic naan and chats. But, the serve time was too slow. They accepted this fact when I spoke with them, but it's just weird waiting for food for a long time. It's a testimony of how good the food is that I am willing to go try again inspire of the serve time. I really hope they reduce the serve time, it would make it my regular dinner place.
