All of the baked goods look so gourmet and makes my mouth water. After pondering for a while, I settled for a muffin. This muffin was really good, it was not too sweet, and the crust of it was not mushy like the muffins you would get at a grocery store, yet it wasn't too crispy either. I would highly recommend this bakery if you are in town!
So there's quite a few places to get decent sandwich here in Seattle. Most people think a sandwich is a sandwich.
Excellent Breakfast joint. Had the Sausage, Egg, Cheddar and Southwestern Breakfast Sandwiches and they were both excellent and yummy.
Will come back the next time I'm in Seattle
Love it! Went in on a Friday mid-morning. It was busy, but I was able to order and got my delicious southwest breakfast sandwich very quickly. Friendly service too!
Best chicken salad sandwich. The place is simple, a few chairs, tables, your typical sandwich / bakery shop but I've had many chicken salad sandwiches in my day and the one I had here was in my books, the best so far! We've tried their black and white cookie which was also good but the sandwich I'd come back for would this chicken salad sandwich! Yummers!
Great spot for an early coffee and pastry. The cinnamon rolls are some of the best, but get there early as they only male one or two trays, and when the're gone, they do n't make more until to-morrow.
Good, but sloppy service. So... This one's hard for me. I love their sandwhiches, bread and ohhh the cookies. Was thrilled to find out they had stores in Seattle (I started going to them in SF and loved it there and was sure it was something I'd miss moving to the PNW). The stores up here continue the traditions of deliciousness, BUT... why can't counter staff take pride in what they do? Accuracy is NOT overrated. Yes I enjoyed my sandwich, but it wasn't what I asked for -- close, but no cigar. If I'd had the time I would have gone back to get it corrected, but this was lunchtime downtown....

Love their cookies. And bread. And Sandwiches.. The first time I came here, it was for lunch, and I was super annoyed that my coworker thought a sandwich would be worth a 15 minute wait in line. And I was not that excited about taking food back to my desk to eat. Seriously, when I pay to eat lunch out, its because I don't want to sit in my damned office. But after we finally got back to the conference room in our office and I had a taste of my sandwich, I could see it was all good. Best. Sandwich. Ever. And when I went back for a cookie after work, that was great too. I'm pretty sure I can credit Specialties with my 15 pound weight gain since I moved to Seattle. Specialties and the fact that I don't like to go outside between November and March. Or April.
How can anyone NOT like Specialty's??. I am shocked that only 60% like this place...The food is fantastic and the service so friendly, you almost can't believe it. The staff takes a genuine interest in their customers and making your experience a good one. If I could afford to eat there (calorie-wise) every day, I would! I have yet to find a sandwich I don't like...
Excellent options for drinking and eating abound! Four stars because they can be a bit slow with the drinks, even when not busy.
I had the absolutely most pleasant experience at this location. I accidently ordered to the wrong location (blame it on being hungry) and they were still able to fulfill my order and were able to transfer everything so I didn't have to do anything. Absolutely above and beyond. I'm assuming it was the manager by her professional attitude and presence. The front cashier was also so nice! She complimented my shoes and made it feel like a personal experience. Way to go specialtys!!
Super yummy! One of my favorite places to eat! I usually pop in here in the mornings on my way to work and grab a pastry for breakfast. My favorites are their blueberry muffins and cream cheese croissants if I'm craving something sweet, or their veggie cheddar egg croissant if I'm wanting something savory. All are extremely delicious! They also have the very best chocolate chip cookies you will ever eat!! Their salads and sandwiches are also yummy for lunch too!
Only my first visit and the food was great. I'll be back for that alone.
However, management needs to get their act together and have all three registers open during the morning commute. There was a line out the door and only one server and register working when I arrived at 6:50am.
Hopefully this was just a one-time situation...
Cindy, Dierdre, Francisco, Deena, Thunder, and everyone else are great. You can't find better people working at a bakery. I like the cold brew
Way better than Starbucks in my opinion. The baked goods are fresh and the coffee is good!
The medium coffee is actually large and may be more than you need. Excellent latte!
Nice decor, good house music, free WiFi, and lots of power to keep you device of choice topped off.
