Review Triumph Bar - Seattle

Ezra Bae
Was checking out Lower Queen Anne and this was the first place I stopped at. I was here on Halloween on a Wednesdays at 730pm and it was completely dead. That said, the service, food, and drinks were top notch. Leon served me at the bar and was super friendly. He answered questions about the neighborhood, gave me bar and restaurant recommendations, and opined about the changing landscape of Seattle. The gin and tonic was really good. They make their own tonic and it was perfect. More bitter than sweet. Leon also made a variation of an aviation with violet liquor, rosewater, and a hint of cherry that was delicious. Got castelvetrano olives and a three cheese sampler for munchies. The local Sea Stack cheese was sooooooo good. Homemade yuzu jam and Irish buttered toast points were icing on the cake.

Wow. This place is hands down the best bar I've ever been to. I honestly don't know how the bartender is able to go out anywhere and enjoy it, because his drinks are just THAT superior. I got a Moscow Mule, and like, how much can one Moscow Mule vary from another right? BUT OH MY GOD. This guy makes his own ginger syrup from fresh ginger, and uses freshly squeezed lime juice, and has these amazing freeze-dried lime slice garnishes. It's a true masterpiece. Second favorite is their Springtime Old Fashioned - infused with chamomile and sweetened with honey instead of simple syrup. Absolutely to die for. Their food is really good too! I'm a vegetarian so I haven't eaten a ton of what they offer, but what I have had is positively stellar (you know you want those crispy potatoes). Fantastic location - literally across the street from Seattle Center which houses pretty much all of Seattle's giant cultural events, museums, and performing arts. AND they validate 1 hr of parking. Bam. They do it all!!!

I debated about rating this amazing neighborhood gem because we want to keep it to ourselves, but I want everyone to know that this is one amazing bar! The drinks are great, and the food is fantastic! You have to try the day's jug juice! Always creative concoctions--you never what it will be! But it's always good. Did I mention that the bread pudding is soooo good. So if you only order two things, order at least one jug juice and the bread pudding. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and the staff is super friendly!

I just had the best grilled zucchini with tzatziki style sauce small dish I have ever had outside my native Bulgaria. The crispy baguette with lemon and herbs infused olive oil dip could have been enough as a meal; it was so fragrant, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is hip, the location superb, the wine list fantastic and the owner and chef obviously put their hearts and souls into their work. Great service and a delightful experience all around!

Amazing food and drinks served with flare. The service was attentive, and the food was plated vibrantly, with lots of local, seasonal ingredients. Huge specialty wine list. Try the malasadas, we almost passed up desert but we are glad we didn't. you won't regret stopping in here.

The perfect spot for drinks and food before or after a show around the Seattle Center. I'm always surprised that it isn't more crowded, but I'm not complaining either since it's nice to have a quieter place to talk! Bonus points because they have an older man as the server. It's really nice to see there isn't age discrimination and it adds a neighborhood, homey feel to the place. Not Seattle pretentious. Oh... and did I mention the food and drinks are awesome? The bread pudding is a real treat, they make it to order... don't miss it!

Love happy hour here. Very easy to eat gluten free, they have no problem adjusting and most modifications are just leaving off the bun or bread. Eat here regularly for several years now right had any problems eating gluten free

Great place for a quick bite in the evening. I'm partial to the veal meatballs and the amazing brussels sprouts! Good small plates that can be shared, or you can be selfish and eat it all yourself. Service is great if it's not busy.

Definitely worth a trip to go and see Cody for a delicious craft cocktail! He went out of his way to make something warm and enjoyable for my friend and I and we were not disappointed! The cheese plate was delicious and yummy as well!

Took 3 teenage girls to see Panic at the Disco at Key Arena on August 10th; my daughter and two good friends. They each had the Triumph Burger and I had the Pork Belly Mac. The girls said their burgers were awesome. My Mac was some of the best I've had. I noticed there weren't any salt and pepper at the tables. After tasting my food I realized neither were needed. Just a wonderful meal.

All the food was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable (comfy seats too!). And though the delicious meal was definitely the highlight, I can't compliment the staff enough for their knowledgeable recommendations and attentive service.

Stopped in on a whim while waiting for a concert to start. Chris our server was awesome! I asked him to choose what he would eat for a cheese plate. Boy did he deliver! Get a gin and tonic, they make their tonic water from scratch, the olives are served in olive oil, and of course the cheese platter! Place got really busy around six pm, so get there early. We'll be back the next time we're in Seattle.

Best mac and cheese ever... also pork belly! What else do I need to say?

Wonderful made from scratch drinks. Leon is not only great at making drinks but he is also great to talk to. My fiancé and I tried a few different drinks and enjoyed them all. Ordered the grilled cheese to go and that was just a great as everything else! I would recommend this place to everyone!

We have been a regular here for almost two years and tonight, I can say that this is one of the worst times I have ever had in a restaurant overall. Completely ignored by our server to the point that we missed ordering for happy hour and then overlooked twice when I tried to order additional food and drink. He literally turned and walked away from me as I was trying to order...TWICE! So disappointed because this was out pre-Seattle Rep tradition, but we will be finding another place.

Amazing food, very reasonable prices, strong drinks and fantastic service. Our waiter was wonderful!

CraZy busy beforebthe PINK concert and they completely rocked it! From the hostess to the bar tender everything was amazing! Our wait time was only about 15 minutes instead of the projected 30, we got probably the BEST Moscow Mules we’ve ever had (made from scratch), food was fresh, delicious and served quickly despite the amount of guests. Will be back!

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is cause my husband’s burger was delicious. My steak was as delicious as it could be considering it and my potatoes were luke warm. It was super busy in there so I get that things will happen, but you are right outside of Key Arena and if you can’t accomodate that kind of traffic then maybe a different location would suit you better.

Love this neighborhood place. On a sunny day there are even a few tables on the sidewalk to enjoy. The food has been great every time I have been (about 6 times!) and the happy hour wines are delicious when I get there early enough.

A pretty decent size bar/restaurant. It has a classic feel with high ceilings. There’s also a wall of wine in the back that I thought was super pretty and made it just that more classy (picture below!). Pricing : For SRW it’s 3 courses for $28 bucks! Normally small dishes range from $8-$12. Service : It wasn’t very busy so we had excellent service from an older gentleman. He also knew his food! Food : Kale trout caesar salad My starter – ham hock soup with pickled okra and chanterelles. The okra added a nice bite to the soup! Braised short rib with potato/cheese puree and kale. The meat was very tender and went really well with the puree. Great combination and I wanted more! Pork belly mac and cheese with chanterelles. Good combo, but it wasn’t the best pork belly I’ve

...offers an astonishingly deep wine list, particularly strong and varied when it comes to Italian whites, so it's well worth your while to split an interesting bottle and make your way through the bar menu (cold cuts, oysters, a dozen imported cheeses, plus full dinner items like lamb osso buco). Or just drop in for a snack and a glass of wine during the nightly, 3-6 happy hour.
