L'oursin - Seattle - Photo album

As a French bistro, L'Oursin is not what one would expect in terms of atmosphere and feeling. From its location to its accommodations it comes across more as an American upscale, jazzy brunch spot. The space is ample, comfortable and gives off a vibe of sumptuousness. They offer a list of classic
This restaurant has an authentic French bistro vibe. Staff so kind and attentive and the wine is great. Love their Hawaii grilled shrimp, and dipping bread into the garlic butter is such a enjoyment. I do like the scallop crudo and their creativity of raw scallop paired with morel mushroom, but I d
Fantastic little restaurant. The food is amazing. The drinks are delightful. Service is top notch. Really can't complain. Menu is small, which is great because with such wonderful choices it makes it that much easier to decide. The dessert menu is equally as excellent. Really cannot go wrong. Try it
The main dish (cassoulet) was delicious but both desserts (strawberries ice cream and mousse au chocolat) weren’t very good. They charged 20% service fees automatically and on top of that, they also asked for tip on the receipt so just be careful. And try not to sit at the bar because the washing m
After our most recent trip here this place is going in the regular rotation. Perfect blend of neighborhood brasserie and dinner seating. The chef's flavors are amazing, and the focus on seasonal herbs has noticeably improved. We had a scallop and morel dish that rivals some Michelin starred dishes.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Seattle! This is my 4th visit & I can’t say enough that the chicken was the best roasted chicken I’ve ever had! The sherry sauce & veggies complimented it so well. Of course, I’ll be back to try more new items!
A very pleasant dining experience. Servers were attentive and very kind. The food was excellent and hearty portions for the price. I would love to come back when the seasonal menu changes. They had a very impressive wine menu and had it not been “dry January” I would have ordered a glass/bottle. The
I’m so serious, this was the best chicken I’ve had in my life ❤️ get the half chicken with morels in sherry sauce, it is so, so delicious. My mom had the french onion soup and said it was really yummy. The atmosphere is super warm and cozy, we even loved their playlist. The wine list was creatively
Fourth visit. Very well prepared French bistro with excellent service team. Enjoyed the seafood here(prawns, tuna, scallop, oyster, union).
Good food but pricy and noted the 20% compulsory tips
L'Oursin offers an elevate dining experience in a rather simple and down-to-the-earth space. There is nothing particularly striking about the menu, but all the dishes I tried turned out remarkably good. The attention to details that you can find a Michelin-starred restaurant paired with a creative a
Classic French bistro style eatery with the comfortable feel and eats taking on a PNW edge to it. This Seattle classic has been serving great food for years now and finally got around to give it a try. We surveyed the tasting menu, which was good. In retrospect, this was good, but the overall experi
Fine dining quality food in an unpretentious setting. Sat at the bar and had a truly delicious dinner. They offer some really interesting wines by the glass, and the open plan kitchen offers a nice compliment to the understated dining room. Be sure to stop in on a Monday for their burger special!
The front of the house was outstanding. The decor manages to emulate the dingy, smoke covered walls of Paris without the smoke smell. The food was well done, but didn't raise the bar compared to Lūk which isn't too much further away.
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, had a great time. They have a huge wine list (including an orange wine - didn't order it though) and a number of cocktails as well. Coming into it I was a little apprehensive about the small menu. While there are several apps, small, and medium dishes, ther
We had a magical New Year's Eve meal last night. We were blown away by the quality, creativeness, and beauty of the six-course prix-fixe and wine pairing. We are pescatarian, and the chefs went out of their way to present us with a seafood-only menu. The pace was perfect; we enjoyed a leisurely 3-ho
Inside of L'Oursin, is a place called Old Scratch. It has delicious food, between chicken, tofu, brisket and burgers - it's totally worth trying them out. Although the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, it's packed with great tastes. They also allow cocktails for delivery, with a few being
The burger special at the bar is fantastic. Don't skimp, treat yourself to the duck fat fries, too. Quick, delightfully friendly service, delicious food, and excellent cocktails, as well as a well-curated list of wines by the glass.
My partner and I visited on a Sunday for the prix fixe menu and left very satisfied. I couldn't get enough of the in house bread and butter and insisted I finish all the butter. Pork terrine had a nice flavor and texture. Radiccio salad was very fresh, slightly bitter and balanced well with the dr
