Wow! We finally stopped in after driving by for months and was it well worth it!!!
Great service, outstanding food at reasonable price. My only regret is that my wife and I hadn't stopped in long ago.

Sidestreet Kitchen & Bar: GO!. This is one of those places that deserves to be called a hidden gem. Since moving to Burien 7 years ago, I've happily watched 152nd St. quietly become home to some restaurants that rival downtown Seattle in atmosphere, and many times in the menu. With all of these choices, The Sidestreet Kitchen & Bar was one of those places that I'd kept meaning to try, but since it's on a sidestreet, would always wind up rolling on past and heading down to 152nd again. Love all of my faves down there, but going so often that I can recite most of their menus in my sleep.

Tuesday night I decided that it was time we tried the Sidestreet. How bad could it be? After checking the on-line reviews, I thought it was definitely worth checking out.

Boy, were we impressed. What fabulous food! What an inventive chef! Delicious food cooked to perfection in very creative ways, without being silly. Great restaurant with a very reasonably priced menu. GO! BTW, the Tuesday night 1/2 price bottle that we emptied was a steal!

The Boss was there. What a GREAT little place.
Dan (the owner) makes you feel like you have known him all your life.

The food is well presented and absolutly the best in a culinary explostion of flavors.

From the salmon salad, ahi and flat iron steak, there has not been a disapointment and in fact I always look forward to seeing whats new on the menu.
EXCELLENT

Great food in Burien. My first visit to the Sidestreet Kitchen and Bar exceeded my expectations. Casual atmosphere with upscale food and service at very reasonable prices. The chef and servers treated our group like old friends. The menu had something to suit everyones taste and all was very well prepared and presented. I will be returning again and again!

Just visited the Sidestreet Kitchen & Bar and was I surprised. So close to the airport, just couldn't resist trying it out, and what a wonderful experience. The food was beyond excellent. The wine was SO good as was the entertainment. The chef was a joy to be around and made it a point to welcome everyone. The waitress remembered our names and didn't fail to use them.

Sidestreet Kitchen & Bar. What a wonderful place in Burien. My first visit, and I tried another first while there, seen it on TV so much, been afraid to try it, I had the Pepperseared Ahi Tuna. Atmosphere is unmatched. Close to SeaTac Airport and such a friendly warm place. Great food in Burien!

A great quaint place in Burien!. I just had dinner here tonight for the first time and loved it. Great food, reasonable priced, and excellent presentation. What a great touch to have the owner/chef come by and say hello, and ask how we liked our meal. Thanks for a great evening.

Very Pleasantly Surprised. I really had no expectations or rave reviews coming from friends or family when deciding to venture out to a new restaurant last night, but thought something different than the usual sounded good. So glad we tried it!! I'd been to the old sushi restaurant that used to inhabit this space, with Bavarian interiors, so like I mentioned, I really had no expectations...

To start with, I loved the interior - for a small space, I thought it was very well organized and offered comfortable seating. Interior colors were warm and inviting, modern yet not trendy.

We ordered the Bleu-Bacon Burger and decided to split this for dinner, and it was probably the best burger I've ever had, and half was plenty of food with the side of fries it comes with. VERY TASTY and not overly greasy, as some other local restaurants tend to be. Two thumbs up!! We'll definitely go back!

New restaurant!. I walked into this place completely unprepared for what I found. It's a lovely restaurant with a great Pacific Northwest ambiance. Totally unpretentious but with quality ingredients and an innovative menu. You can tell that the chef has put a lot of thought into creating meals that are unique and delicious. It is affordable (meaning, there were only two menu items over $10), and they serve German beer on tap! The service was also really great. Our server was friendly and courteous and just the right amount of attentive!

What Burien Needed!!. Don't call it a cafe or a bistro. The Sidestreet Kitchen & Bar is more than a category can define with the flavors to back it up.

The owner/ chef Dan Davis (whom you can watch craft your meal first hand in the open style kitchen) is passionate about his food and customers and it shows through the fresh ingredients and visits to each table, treating everyone as if they were long lost family.

So, seriously, insiders tip... if you are a shrimp cocktail fan get one here! No joke. It's not what you are expecting, but way better. A light garlic creamy sauce over fresh greens that my description can not do appropriate justice. The main course tasted like it slow cooked in my grandmas kitchen all day, potato gnocchi with braised pork and rosemary ragout. They do have a few lighter items on the menu, which Dan says he is excited for input on as he wants it to be something truly made by the community. Wow... whens the last time you heard a chef say, yeah go ahead tell me how you like it and I will do it, since the "King". Blacken Ahi Tuna with a Korean cucumber salad, Skillet roasted Clams with Italian sausage or even a Flat ironed steak were some of my other options, which I am gladly going to work my way through this menu.

I don't normally do this but I opted in for desert and I don't regret one second of the stair master for it! Dan you had me at vanilla bean but when you added the artfully crafted phyllo dough, toasted walnuts and drizzled honey, you restored this girl's sweet tooth in heaven. Thank you Dan! I can't wait to try the amazing old world but sorta modern looking bar and happy hour menu.

We loved this place. The service was great. We had the fried chicken and fish and chips. The chicken was crispy and very moist! The fish was melt in your mouth with a panko type breading! For starter we had the popcorn which was buttery but not overly so. We also had the clam chowder which had great flavor. And service was great!

Never had a bad meal here. The specials are always great and well thought out. Not just a bunch of leftovers that they are trying to make work into something. Jay and the rest of the bar and wait staff are attentive and personable. Glad to be considered a "regular" here and will continue to recommend to friends and family. Fried chicken and the Mary Ann's chicken sand are standouts. Do yourself a favor and make a point of stopping in. You won't be disappointed.

This is a hidden gem. It looks like a bar and is loud like a bar, but the food is from heaven. When we walked we were shocked at how small the place was there was something about the friendly the atmosphere that just felt right. The waitress was very friendly also and was very helpful. The menu is small but the choices are interesting. We started with a grilled broccoli that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the pan fried Alaskan Cod, which was cooked to perfection. I decided to try the 20 oz prime rib, also cooked perfectly rare. Both dishes had great potatoes, mine was a baked with everything and my wife's were a very fluffy mashed. A glass of Cabernet that went with the meat wonderfully topped of the meal. Then we split a amazingly decadent chocolate lava cake for desert. The price was about $80, but we'll worth it. We weren't rushed and met people on both sides who were very interesting. This place is definitely a keeper. We'll be back......soon!

Cozy little corner bar (naturally, on a side street). Had to wait a bit to order, I think the bartender's trainee was running late, but she got our drinks right away. Happy hour prices looked pretty good but we just missed it, ends at 5. I had the wedge salad, wife had a burger. Both were pretty good, appreciated that they were willing to lettuce wrap the burger instead of using a bun. Wife liked her long island, which means they don't make them super sweet. They have a marzen beer that I really liked, think it was from Hale's. People were all really nice, especially the bikers hanging at the bar. Good night overall.

First time there and staff was very friendly and welcomed us. Happy hour menu was great. I had the Five Buck Burger with bacon. Burger was juicy and done as I asked for medium rare. Pork sliders were excellent. Going back for sure.

Great hole in the wall cozy place with good food and atmosphere. The fries are amazing (rosemary!), happy hour is a great value, drinks are made with care. Sounds lame but I particularly liked their hummus plate! Great flavor and array of vegetables.

Much appreciated the very courteous curbside service for my to-go order... their delicious caprese burger! Haven't had a burger like it anywhere else. Fries flavor is very good. Too bad I didn't open the box up before the fries got a bit soft. Am sure they would be amazing crispy!

The food here really surprised me with how good it was. Driving by, I had always assumed it was more of a dive - but really it's higher end more gastro pub type food. We had the soup of the day, steak salad, and spicy chicken sandwich. All were very good

This is one of our favorite restaurants and have been coming for years. Great food at reasonable prices. Clint has a special drink on the fresh sheet that always is tempting. I can't remember when my husband didn't order it and love it. They fresh squeeze all the citrus for cocktails!

Nice casual local bar & eatery. Had a few drinks & dinner with a group of friends. Service was fast & friendly. Menu includes standards like fish & chips as well as distinctive items. Prices were moderate and portions generous. Would happily visit again.

The food is always excellent. During the pandemic they have had to use to go containers, as everyone has. Unfortunately all the food gets piled on top of each other, the cole slaw mixed with the potatoes and the fried chicken made the chicken soggy and the potatoes runny. Please consider using smaller containers for items to keep them separate.

Had the best ribeye and dessert last night. It was the last night of bacon and bourbon week and the bacon jalapeño margarita did not disappoint. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area. The service was great as well. Thanks for a wonderful evening of good food and drinks!

A hidden gem. Off the beaten path of local restaurants, the Sidestreet is well worth finding. A concentrated menu offers good diversity. There is a well stocked bar that has an accent toward Irish and Scotch whiskeys as well as Guinness on tap. The wine selection is not large but each is a great choice. Even during the busy times, table service is efficient and friendly. In all, a destination of superior quality.

Not many places does a good prime rib in the surrounding Seattle area so when I heard that a restaurant nearby my house had prime rib as a Friday special, I was excited to try it out. Sidestreet is a great neighborhood restaurant, it pretty cosy with a lot of regular, but none regular are equally welcomed. The service is good and attentive. I came here for the prime rib, and it was really good especially for its price. It comes with a loaded potato and some grilled vegetables which were done well. There are a lot of other interesting options on the menu so will have to come back to try those. The drink here is good as well, alot of options for beer and wine and the cocktail are done well.
