It's just a great little place to catch up with friends and have a meaningful conversation with family, all while enjoying delicious Asian cuisine. The service is great, not rushing you and very accommodating. The portions are amazing.
This was our asian cuisine dinner for Christmas Eve. I love the ladies who work here they're quick to get you what you ask for and even have great humorous banter.
If you haven't been to New Star Seafood Restaurant, then you're missing out on a great jewel in the Seattle area.
The food was simply amazing. The chili crab was fire but I like hot food so be warned. We also had peking duck, lobster, Mongolian beef and my friends got me to try jellyfish for the first time in my life. Lol. I survived! The pea shoots with garlic were on point. A few more dishes I can't even remember but they were excellent. Definitely going back!
We had the dinner combo for two, and it was amazing. All the dishes tasted authentic, the service was great. I especially liked the female owner (I'm not entirely sure), but she was super funny and a delight. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great affordable Chinese seafood in Seattle.
Oh my gosh! You guys need to check this place out! Their menu was so massive! There is definitely something for everyone! My husband had a hard time deciding what he wanted and so did I! So, we ordered a variety! Their portions are sooooo big! Everything was so good!
I asked my son what he wanted and let him picked and.... he picked everything too! 🤣🤣🤣
What we ordered:
Lunch portion Singapore seafood noodle
Lunch portion chicken lo mein with veggies
Salt and pepper pork chops (soo good!!)
Orange chicken
Mongolian beef
Baby Bok Choy with garlic
Their lunch portion is really big!!!
Ordered the lobster( smallest was abt 3kg) with noodles for 2 and the serving was huge. Ingredient was very fresh but the taste was good just a little salty. The server was very friendly and when we asked to have noodles w the lobster she highlighted that it will be additional $15 just for the noodles. Overall the meal was good.
Service was great. The restaurant was clean, and the food was fresh! I ordered a combination dinner. This business does a large amount of carryout service.
The chef is amazing he cooked the fish so crispy and perfectly. They have a good variety of food options. The service is very nice and friendly.
Good service, easy parking and great food. Had the Peking porkchop, cashew chicken, steamed fish, chinese brocolli with flounder and the daily soup. Daily soup was flavorful and refreshing. The Peking porkchop was tender, crispy, and had the perfect amount of sauce. The chinese brocolli with flounder was cooked perfectly. The brocolli was crunchy and cooked well. The flounder was light and meaty. Never had fish like this so it was nice.
Overall, wonderful meal. Left with leftovers so I'll get to enjoy it for lunch tmr. 😊
A generous plate of food in DT Seattle for lunch? At $10.95 out the door plus $4.05 for great service? These two coexist at New Star Seafood. Honey Walnut Prawn with hot tea and egg drop soup. As with anything, attitude is everything. Fairly basic flavor but fresh quality ingredients prepared to order and served up hot and fast.
Honey walnut prawn and pan fried fish stuffed in eggplant. (#34, #65) The servers are friendly, delicious food and tea that helps the food taste better!

Ordered food through grub hub. Everything was great and arrived hot except... general Tao's chicken was not my favorite... Chicken part was cooked well and was juicy i was just not a fan of the type of coating they had on the chicken or the sauce they used on it. My favorite was the honey walnut shrimp.
Best Chinese Restaurant in town! Delicious Peking Duck, Pepper Salt Pork Chop, Lobster, Steam Fish, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and sweet soup of Taro Tapioca coconut milk! Very happy after the meal 😋 Our favorite family birthday restaurant!
Delicious food & great friendly service. The Peking duck was amazing!
Authentic, tasty, affordable! Some of the best Chinese food we've had in quite a while. Can't go wrong here.

By chance we found the New Star. After attending our daughter's graduation ceremony at T Mobile arena, we started googling restaurants and hiking in the general direction of what we wanted to check out, which is everything. Our son in law found it and the decision was made. It is always easy to blame a bad decision on someone else. We walked in, our group of six. They immediately moved some tables and set us up. We ordered up six different dishes. As they arrived we started passing the dishes clockwise and counterclockwise. The meal was scrumptious. After our meal we were presented with the sweetest orange slices you could imagine. My fortune cookie read. Stay healthy, eat more Asian food. I think I will.

Foods are tasty and very clean!
My friend invited me for her son birthday at this place. A small restaurant in downtown China Town Seattle. It is quite nice that they have free parking stalls on the side, so no need to run around try to find a darn parking on the street!
The service is courageous, very please!
Food was amazing, customer service was excellent, overall deserves 5 stars. If you’re looking for a place to fill you up this is where to go.
