If you're ever feeling down on your luck and you need to change your life in some way... Walk into the doors of Belle Epicurean and order the S'mores Cookie. Upon digestion, everything should be just fine.

Had a delicious sausage, egg and cheese. Very unique bread made this traditional breakfast sandwich interesting. Service was ok, but I appreciated the attention from the server once she realized our coffees were taking too long (nothing crazy, just longer than our food).

First time came to this bakery. We ordered chai tea, almond croissant and quiches. Chai tea has too much form only half left. Many bake good selections. They have wine section where you can sit and enjoy your coffee.

Good coffee and pastries. I picked up some macarons for my wife. I don't usually care for them but I tried one of them and really liked it! Nice interior, too.

When I lived in Seattle, I would pop in every so often for a nice latte and the macaroons for a sweet treat. Seasonal flavors too. The pain au chocolat was perfect. They have so many delectable treats from small cakes, cookies, and everything yummy. On my last visit, I picked up their ham and cheese baguette sandwich. 👌🏼 Parking can be tricky when it’s busy, but I’ve always had luck on the side or back.

Got a chocolate croissant and two macaroons. Really good price for quality. The seating and atmosphere was great and friendly staff. I sat around for an hour slowly eating and was never bothered, so that was nice. Everything good and clean! Amazing and tasty.

UPDATE:The owner pointed out that there is designated parking spaces on the both of the alley which I did not realize despite of the sign. So, I'm correcting the information here. I had house chai and a dessert. They were busy and had to wait for a while to get my drink. Chai was excellent! Not too sweet. My dessert was tasty as well. They have outdoor seating in the back as well as small sections of indoor seating.

Great location before or after an Arboretum walk. Outdoor dining area is another quiet Madison ave retreat - that no one seems to know about. Maybe I’m just there when it’s not busy. Really good fare, may seem pricey but taste, quality and local ownership makes it worth it. The place really adds to the neighborhood with how they keep up the front appearance.

New favorite: twice baked raspberry croissant. Also had a very successful birthday cake from their chocolate cake mix. My wife loves the shrimp dinner dish (frozen). Amazing selection of natural wines, particularly from small Chilean producers. Just had the BEST macaroon from there!! Thanks!

I had somebody tell me that her mother was French and many bakeries don't take the time to make croissants properly (2 days). She recommended this bakery highly and a croissant with a foamy cappuccino. I ordered the plain croissant and savory pastry and drip coffee. They were so good that when the waiter said his go to was the cappuccino and chocolate croissant.....I had that for dessert. Excellent! Delicious. Worth it. :-)
