Review Marmite - Seattle

My bf & I had a Saturday evening dinner here to celebrate my birthday, and it was so lovely. Our waiter was so nice, the ambience was warm and comforting, and food was delicious! My bf ordered the rabbit confit and I had the roasted chicken, both were yummy! The owner even came out and talked to us about the wine selection. Great location too! Can't wait to be back and try more dishes. Next time, we want to sit on the chef’s counter.

Outstanding and delightful meal on a perfect Seattle day. The quenelles and the mushroom tart were superb as was the service and overall experience. Highly recommended.

My partner and I stopped here during Pride; it was super busy but the food was worth returning for. We started with the Pain au Beurre, which contained 7 slices of bread (3 types) and butter. I personally only enjoyed 1/3 types of bread but it was okay. For a main course, we split the Caillettes Provençales and it was absolutely delicious. The red cabbage went really well with the fat on the meat and it was very flavorful. Overall, an enjoyable experience, I will dine here again.

My friend and I were visiting from the Bay Area, we were walking by and took a look inside and decided to take a chance. The presentation of our food was amazing the taste of our food was impeccable. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. Watching our food being made was one of the coolest things I’ve seen. Not only did the owner come by and chat he was wanting to know where we were from.

Wonderful cocktails, decent French inspired cuisine in the heart of Capitol Hill. I would award 5 stars just on the cocktails alone however the food, although decent in flavor, was not mind blowing. Our potato chips were overly salted, however this was quickly rectified when notifying the staff and was comped. Overall wonderful service and I would be back for the cocktails for sure

As good as it's reputation. The food was quite sensational and the place has a great vibe. The sturgeon was particularly fabulous. One super minor quibble. We sat at the chef's counter and saw our dinner plated, but instead of giving it straight to us it sat for 5 minutes before the wait staff found it. So it could have been hotter. But like I said .. minor. Will be back soon

This might just be the best restaurant in Seattle. You know how some places make you want to go on and on about how good they are. Marmite is one of those. The Marmite team has some sort of, I don't know, a fluency with flavor. They know how to bring undertones to the surface, flavors you thought were a naturally subtle part of an ingredient is somehow given the limelight in Marmite dishes. It really makes you reconsider everything you've tasted before. Really heady stuff. Heated and covered outdoor dining available.
Powerful Vibes
One of the hidden gems in Capitol Hill. It was our second time we went to Marmite, but this time on a very special date, Valentine's day. The restaurant was very cozy and quiet, where the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner. The food was delicious. The menu consisted four courses with a dessert for two. In addition, wine pairing was offered in the menu but it was optional. Personally, I felt very comfortable in the restaurant all night; and it is not only because of the great interior design (it is stunning), but the staff (the restaurant's team) was exceptional and attentive all the time. The owner and chef of the restaurant was very friendly and familiar, and we had the idea of his passion for cooking and his business. Definitely, we are going back very soon!!

Wow! The service and food and wine here is so amazing. We had the brute, Chardonnay and then the red blend from DeLille for drinks. We tried the salad belge, coquilles Saint-Jacques, chips de tompinambour, pain au beurre, Napoleon de saumon, and the poitrine de faisan roti et sa compote de fruit. Everything was wonderful. My favorites were the pheasant, Jerusalem chips and the scallops.

Very pleasant ambient. Great macchiato, and the food is absolutely well-prepared. A bit pricey, but worth the flavors. Be aware that the portions are small; not the best choice if you are hungry, unless you ask many menu items; they work better as appetizers, at least on the brunch menu.

Made from the freshest ingredients, the trout, gnocchi and the chocolate mousse were simply exceptional. The atmosphere, great service, together with seating at the open kitchen formed this as a unique experience for us. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing! Living in Vancouver, Canada, we often travel to Seattle for a night and try to find a great place to eat. After enjoying brunch at Marmite, we knew we had to come back to try their dinner. Every drink and dish was amazing. The staff, including the owner/head chef, went above and beyond. Sitting at the chef's counter, we were able to learn, chat, and enjoy watch the food being prepared. We can't wait to return and hope to find a time to try their cooking class as well.

Great little spot in the alley and nice chill setup for two. Great ambiance and food for me was different from my usual tasting but it's very unique and the staff was friendly. The heater above the table keeps you warm and the tent helps keep the tunnel winds away from you. They had the street closed but found parking on the street across no biggie

Authentic modern French style cooking in a friendly non-stuffy atmosphere. The food is expertly prepared. We enjoyed a rich nettle soup with a chicken stock base, a fantastic dandelion salad that perfectly balanced the bitterness of the greens with salty bacon and delicious oil flavors. Perfectly cooked duck breast over morels. And some fun beignets and a chocolat mousse for dessert. Nice choices of crémants and wines. Attentive wait-staff kept track of our meal without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

Oh my!!!! It's been a long time since I explored Seattle. Decided to walk to my favorite store Retrofit Home and stumbled into this fantastic spot for Sunday brunch. Who doesn't love fresh made potato chips... put that inside a fluffy omelet with the perfect amount of cheese and chives and pair that work fresh perfectly seasoned sausage 😋 have I died and made our into heaven??? My mouth feels so! I can't forget to mention the blueberry limeade... tart and sweet! Thank you for making my day!
