Stopped by here after taking a stroll around Green Lake and all I can say that it was nothing short of amazing! The staff were very friendly and the place has great ambience. Portions were also nice for the price and the fish and chips tasted great! Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a
Fresh cut fries! They were delicious. Amazing cook on them. My fish and chips was crunchy while still being moist. The tarter sauce was pungent and wonderfully flavorful.
The atmosphere was nice. The owner smiled and laughed with us -- a great sign of a quality place.
This family owned/operated brother-sister team could not have been more patient and kind. Two people took on a full restaurant New Years Day with tons of people walking over from the park. Breading was perfect on the fish. Food was super fresh! Restaurant was very clean.
Loved this place! It’s the best fried fish we’ve had since moving to Washington. We shared a side of pickles and they were delicious, too. The fries are hand cut, which aren’t my thing, but my husband loved them. They even have an outside area that’s dog friendly - including a bowl of fresh water.
So happy Spud is back!!!! If you loved them before, you can expect the same quality food and flavor, only now the ketchup & tartar are included! IMHO the best “American” fish and chips, oh and the fried clams too!
We stopped in here on our way out of town because we heard they had great fish and chips. We weren't disappointed! The fish was spot on. We also got clam chowder, onion rings, a corn dog, chicken strip, and last but not least, a pickle. Everything was delicious. They also offer ALLLLLL the dips and
Love the spot. Especially the slaw and garlic malt vinegar. Really like the mid century style and history of the spot. Kinda sad that it's gonna change and be part of a huge apartment but hopefully it's good for them! Super good check it out!
(Update!) just got back after the long remodel, fish and
Spud's is a nostalgic fish house for me. I discovered it in college when it was a stand along fish shack. I took my son and his girlfriend there, and the food took me right back to the summer of 1987. Delicious, fast, and right across the street from one of the best urban parks (Greenlake) in the
Oh my God! This place had super fresh fish and prawns. I wanted more! I liked that they gave us salt to season our own fries. I was a little sad to throw away the extra tarter sauce. It was so good. Really liked the friendly employees.
Incredible fish n chips. Home cut fries and awesome batter on the fish. I’m more of a beer batter type fish n chips guy, but this was great. I think the tartar sauce is homemade too. Just great stuff.
Fish and chips were delicious.
I was traveling passing by and Googled a quick stop for fish and chips off the highway. They didn't disappoint.
Still the same as years ago. One of my favorite fish spots. But just as every other food business the prices have gone up considerably. Always a nice place to buy lunch and eat it in Greenlake park
Best fish and chips in Seattle. Reasonable price, friendly staff and the garlic vinegar is to die for. Go. Eat. Be merry.
Fish was delicious. Owners were so kind. Really enjoyed talking with them while food was prepared. Definitely recommend!
Seattle Legend! I've been coming here since I was a child and now I go with my kids and grandkids.
A little pricey, but they serve large pieces of fish and ok portions of fries. All good!
It's located right across from Greenlake so you can sit indoors, outside on the patio or walk across the stre
