Review Cloud City Cafe - Seattle

Origins Unity LLC
The vibes here are amazing! This is a Seattle favorite. Everyone I encountered was great. Patrons and staff. It was uplifting and a great place to talk and get stuff done. Music wasn’t too loud either. All the food is delicious. I sampled some treats with a friend and ate a breakfast sandwich. The vegan pumpkin bread so moist and yummy. Coffee is excellent too. Great coffee shop that is popular but easy enough to get into.

The vegan friendly PSL was the perfect balance of pumpkin and spice, just enough sweetness. Regular vanilla latte was also delicious. I didn’t have any food, but I appreciate it when there are vegan options. All of the staff were so friendly.

This place is awesome and down to earth and family and dog friendly. I have been coming here almost every week for the last 3 years. There is plenty of seating. They have great drip coffee; both that they brew and their retail beans. I brew their coffee at home and had an amazing coffee from Yemen here once. The food options are great if you have dietary restrictions too. As a vegan, I get the Tofu Bahn Mi a lot and it’s delicious! Their vegan breakfast sandwich is great too but I just wish we didn’t have a Vegan tax in the US and we’d actually incentivize people to choose more environmentally friendly options. They get very busy so sometimes you have to wait a little while but in all honesty, I'd much rather wait and get something awesome then get something sub par immediately. Coffee shops prioritize speed over quality too often and I’m glad that Cloud City does not.

Very good place if you have dietary restrictions. They are tailored to be very progressive and have lots of great breakfast food for vegans. They’re coffee is pretty standard, and not too pricey. A very cute store with merchandise and whole bean bags as well. Lots of seating. Food and drink does take awhile to come out, but a good spot for breakfast and/or to hangout.

WOW this place is delicious! Staff was also lovely c: Got the vegan Bahn Mi sandwich, vegan sprinkle doughnut, earl grey blackberry coffee cake, coconut bread, and the Coconut Ube Cold Brew. The sandwich was such a nice departure from usual vegan options, the tofu was marinated nicely and was tasty, the baguette was hella fresh and yummy, and I even enjoyed the shredded carrot on there, when I’m not usually a huge carrot fan. All the baked goods were excellent. SO FRESH and SO YUMMY. Interesting, different offerings but still tasty af, and so cool that they have vegan baked goods too! The Coconut Ube Cold Brew was good, tasted mostly like toasted coconut with a more subtle ube flavor, and is def a rather sweet drink just fyi. Overall an awesome place with a cool vibe, very friendly and cool person at the register too. Wish I lived closer, I’d go here all the time!

My wife and I had 30 minutes before an appointment and I searched for a breakfast spot near by and came up with CCC. We ordered an Americo, Vanilla Latte, a double chocolate muffin, and a mushroom and cheese frittata. Everything was excellent and tasty! The coffee was richly smooth--just the taste profile that I favor. Frittata and muffin were very tasty. I only wished that I lived closer or that I had reason to be in the neighborhood regularly so I could drop by all the time. I have found my favorite coffee spot in all of Seattle.

Lovely 7:30am breakfast here :) The black sesame latte was deliciously heavy on the sesame, and not too sweet, which paired perfectly with oat milk. Their vegan coconut ube muffin is absolutely scrumptious, as is there knockout vegan breakfast sammie and biscuits and gravy. Slather them with hot sauce for a real morning wake up! Definitely coming back again to try more baked goodies and specialty drinks :)

Mostly, Cloud City Coffee is due for a small overhaul(emphasis on small). Routine bites are just fine. They are often busy, so it is a bit of a factory at times. Espresso drinks are good enough, but occasionally taste of an over-extracted shot. My biggest gripe is the layout... It could be tweaked to allow easier flow. Overall, I enjoy stopping in for coffee!

Cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have many options for people with dietary restrictions and yummy cinnamon rolls!

Inclusive! There is signage asking to use gender neutral terms with the staff and I think that’s awesome, I hope more places adopt that rule. The coconut bread here is unbeatable. I could probably eat an entire loaf in one sitting with no regrets. 15 years ago when I was a young pup my father would take me here and I have vivid memories of a zucchini bread that we used to get- when I moved to the area a few years ago I came back to see if I could get a slice and I never see it as an option- this is my official petition to bring back the zucchini bread 😉
