Review Dim Sum King - Seattle

Dim sum takeaway by the item, you tick the items you want on the piece of paper provided. Very good prices - box of goodies in the photo for just over $10. Standout item was the egg tart. Prawn dumpling and custard bun were great too. Slightly disappointed by the pork bun and didn't enjoy the fan-guo.

Delicious dim sum at affordable prices. Tried for the first time today, i expected Har Gow to be big and Shumai to be tiny but Har Gow is actually smaller and Shumai is HUGE. This places is definitely one of my lunch delivery spots now. Thank you for the amazing food!

Dim Sum King has some great tasting Dim Sums in International District / Chinatown. It seems like their prices have gone up recently. Staff has always been a bit rude, but that's authentic Cantonese experience. (Slightly joking here 😅) --- Lines build up really quick, especially around lunch time. It took about 10 minutes in total from lining up to getting our order. --- I don't believe there's a public restroom inside. There are paid parking spots to the lot next to it, or street parking around the area. --- Don't take their rudeness personally, they are pretty much like that to everyone. Give them a try and you might find yourself coming back again next time.

The best it gets in the area; well priced, really really delicious and authentic, local, fast service, and consistent. The shrimp dumplings here are the best I’ve had in the states! Clearly, things are hand made from scratch (not frozen or shipped!) and they all taste delicious hot or cold (leftovers mm). Ordering is simply done on a sheet of paper and handed over to one of the busy workers. They have a clean establishment with plenty of pictures to guide customers. I highly recommend the steamed rice cake, sesame ball, SHRIMP DUMPLINGS DUH, and at least a turnip cake! Love this place.

Pretty decent food for great prices! You can order things individually. The prices for each food item is 1.40, give or take 20 cents. I’ve dim sum that tasted better in sit-down restaurants BUT you can’t beat the price and convenience!

I thought I'd give this place a try on my trip and I'm so glad I did! No line. It was nice to just get as much as you'd want and it was a decent price. Got everything in the 3rd photo for about $18.

The cheapest dim sum in Seattle I’ve found. I go here pretty frequently. I really like the shrimp dumplings, the lotus balls, and the peanut mochi. They do tack on a bag and container charge, but it’s less than a dollar. I’d recommend paying cash simply bc there is a charge for a sub 10 dollar purchase. Go in the mornings, they have more food then!

It's pretty good but not necessarily up there with the best dim sum in the neighborhood. We got it to-go because there isn't currently an option to dine in. The ordering is done by filling out little slips of paper which you give over the counter. The siu-mai, har-gow and mochi are delicious. The shrimp rice roll and the noodles are lackluster and overwhelmingly so which is why the 4 star. Overall, it's okay and open super early for some dimsum and tea. I'll stick with my favorites though.

Great grab-and-go dim sum for when you don’t want to sit down and order. Their siu mai and baked buns are really good for the price. Even with a line you can get your food within 10 minutes.

Best overall Dim Sum in the area! Large portions. FYI they sell everything by the piece. The Malay Sponge cake is the BEST! Their White Sugar Cake (always sold out before noon), egg tarts, and small Chicken Mushroom steamed buns are also really delicious!

Love this place. I like their shrimp rice roll, egg tart, sweet white cake, turnip cake, fried sesame ball, chicken bun, steamed rice bun, mochi, custard bun. I also like to get the congee and a fried doughnut for breakfast to which I'll add a chicken foot.

I am a big fan of hong kong style egg tarts, almost an afficianado. I would always go out of my way to get egg tarts from Asian bakeries and restaurants all over Seattle/Eastside area. This place hands down have the BEST Hong Kong style egg tarts. Perfect balance of custardy sweetness and flakiness. It is esctacy inside your mouth! One or two pieces is always not enough. Get them by the dozen and share it!

I'm in the area for a week-long workshop at the Luke Wing Museum. Another participant told me about Dim Sum King. Such a fantastic place! Low prices for small portions, which is perfect for trying different things. A fun way to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I had.

Super affordable option for takeout dim sum in international district. Really can’t complain for selection and price (each item is under $2). Very nice to be able to order individual pieces to get variety if alone or in a small group which is difficult to do otherwise.

Loved it! really only counter service, 2 small tables but it's just as easy to take the dim sum to Hing Hay park and enjoy after ordering. Using the sheet of paper to mark up everything, we got a full serving of shrimp cheung fun, siu mai, turnip cake, lotus leaf sticky rice, chicken feet, ham sui gok (on menu as 'fried meat football'), and a custard bun; altogether with tip came out to $18. The standout was the turnip cake, everything else as expected from a good dim sum place

Great prices for delicious dim sum! I recommend their shrimp dumplings/har gow, Malay sponge cake, steamed rice cake (白糖糕 Bái Táng Gāo), and sesame rice balls. However, this is take-out only, as there are no eating areas inside or outside the restaurant.

Delicious dim sum for a decent price! Got take out and service was quick.

$1.10 for most items. They seem to do wonders with rice flour, wheat flour, sugar and soybean oil. Add in some chicken feet, roast pork pieces, cabbage, red bean, a shrimp here and there etc. and you have a very popular place. I saw three pounds of lo mein for $5.95! I liked the egg tart.
