Review King Noodle - Seattle

Jimmy Huynh
Went to King Noodle for the first time. First of all, the atmosphere is very cute and cozy. This place is a build your own soup kind of thing so I chose noodle, beef brisket, fish balls, seaweed, cabbage, and bean sprouts. The soup base is also an option too so I chose hot and spicy. Very very delicious đŸ€€! Highly recommended! Love love love it 😍

My friend took me here because she swore it was her favorite noodle place in Seattle. And boy, it did not disappoint. I ordered, the pork and vegetable dumplings which were alright. And the beef Sichuan noodles (spicy). I normally enjoy a medium spice level but sheesh was this spicy (in the best way!). The broth was rich and spicy. So good that I ignored the spice and had to finish the bowl. I'm not a very big eater and I'd suggest sharing if you have the option. I did enjoy the fact that you can select a few toppings to customize your soup. Will be back again!

My first time here was amazing! The owner walked me through the menu and helped me customize my bowl. The spice was perfect. I will def be back !

This is always the quick noodle place I will go whenever I have to be in international district for errands. It’s fun to make your own soup base and noodles, adding proteins and toppings. Only complaint I have is phone won’t have any signal inside the place.

This place is seriously my #1 go to place - whenever I feel sick, hungover, or famished. I’ve been eating at this establishment before the pandemic and their food is just so tasty. I usually get their noodle soup (szechuan spicy) and congee (best congee in my opinion) or their rice stone pot. Seriously ALL DELICIOUS. I love love love this place and I hope they never close down or move or stop the business because I will literally be devastated. THANK YOU KING NOODLE FOR EXISTING.

I have been eating at this place for quite some years, and I am glad they survived the pandemic. They offer noodle with customizable options, which is a rare find. The price is very reasonable, the portions are generous. The owner doesn't talk much, but his service is impeccable. I am not sure why some reviewers complained about the service, which has never been a problem for me. And I visited this place a lot.

I have been eating here for 8+ years, they survived covid so that says a lot đŸ’ȘđŸŸ. The food is always fresh and customer service is always on point. Keep up the great work team!

My family came to visit so we got some lunch here exploring Chinatown. It was a small family owned place, clean and comfortable. Mostly locals eating in. We got egg noodle, spicy broth, BBQ duck and mushroom. It was very tasty! They have a large menu with great options. The tea they gave us was nice and hot. They bring it like water that you normally get with a meal. I liked this place a lot!

The food here is really good and it is affordable which is a rarity in Seattle. I definitely will visit again in the future.

The chicken broth with noodles, beef briscuit and leeks was absolutely delicious! I would advise you try something a bit lighter if you are not used to eating Chinese food however, as it did upset my stomach a bit. The service was great as was the atmosphere.

Broth was a bit watery at first, but picked up bloody grim the other ingredients. Pork spare ribs had a nice flavor of five spice. Sliced pork was very bland. Soup came out super hot, really made a difference to go to the international district for a more authentic restaurant experience

Really like this place! Stopped in for a quick bite, we ordered congee with beef and pork skin and wonton soup. The congee had a good amount of meat and although it was a little salty it was resllt flavorful. I really enjoyed it. The wonton in the soup very very good but the broth was just ok. For the price I would sys the portions are decent, about $10 for each dish and a single dish can be shared between two people if you want. Small place but very clean, nice atmosphere.

This small restaurant serve some delicious stone pot rice and congee. I recommend getting the chinese donut too, It goes along great with the congee. The dumplings was also delicious. The best thing was that it was very affordable. Totally worth a try for a cheap delicious lunch or dinner

Good place to sit and eat alone or with a friend, not very spacious but very good food. (I have became a loyal customer and come at less twice a month. :) )

I agree with poor service for sure - they are very biased against foreigners and they don't have quick service for sure. But they do offer 米çșż , which I was craving for that day so I am fine I guess with the food. Food quality is generally acceptably good, which is why I gave them 4 stars. It wasn't necessarily the strongest tasting food so people who like foods with a strong taste may not enjoy it, though I don't necessarily think that means the food doesn't taste good. I compared my food with others though and felt like they made it reduced my portions perhaps? Their dumplings are too thick skinned are are only fair. Giving it a four star~!

King Noodle may be the ultimate customizable Asian noodle experience in the International District - just expect a long wait. Food: There's a small menu here with bites from all over China, but the one thing everyone is really here for is the noodle soup. Several broth and noodle options are available, along with about twenty different toppings. There's a wide variety of meat and vegetables on offer, so those with dietary restrictions will have little difficulty finding something delicious to eat. King Noodle has a small selection of drinks that are pretty forgettable when you consider that they are surrounded by bubble tea and coffee shops. Ambience: There's little in the way of decor here. Frankly, the space is just too small to devote much area to it. Seats are comfortable and lighting is good. This restaurant only seats about 25 people and diners may be asked to share a table if lines are long. Price: Cheap! Portions are large for what you pay. Note that King Noodle does charge a small fee if you pay with card. Service: This place adheres to the "wave if you want something" code, and for good reason - the space is small enough that only one server ever seems to be present.

This is as close to Hong Kong style noodles as you will get in the US. This place has been recently remodeled and the folks running it are from the Guangdong/HK area. It's really good now. My HK friends love this place. Dumplings are house made. Noodles are fresh and cooked just right. I normally get the noodle combination where you select a broth base, meats, dumplings and vegetables for your noodle soup combo. I often get the original fish broth with wide rice noodles, brisket and fish. The Szechuan beef starter is really good and authentic.

Great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Very clean, even better tasting food! Pictured: first photo- spicy broth with bean sprouts, mushrooms, and brisket. Second photo- beef noodle bowl

The best part of King Noodle is that you can customize the bowl. You choose the soup broth flavor, vegetables, meat and even the kind of noodles you want and portions are large. I have also tried the potsickers (pan fried) they were pretty good. One thing to mention is the meat when you bite into it looks like it's under cooked, but the reason why it's that pinkish color is because of the seasoning they use. The place is small so if you go you might need to share a table/there might be a wait.

Yummy Chinese noodles in the heart of Chinatown, authentic Szechuan style with perfect seasoning. Mix and match the fixins you want to make your perfect bowl of noodles. Choose if your type of noodle, veggie, and meat, then decide how you want it seasoned. Some of the combinations that they have picked out sounded delicious. I just started working down the street from here, so you know for sure I will be back to try the other variations.

Amazing, authentic, filling, tasty. A make-your-own noodle soup place that you can see looking at the menu for choices and steps.

Food: 11/10. No words
Service: 7/10. Not a fancy place with great wait staff, but that's never the case in Chinatown. VERY fast though.
Seating: 3/10. Crowded. Horrible seats. But food's worth it.

I don't recommend the Szechuan Spicy broth, not my personal favorite. Hot & Spicy was great broth. And the Fish Broth is a classic. The brisket was phenomenal, wonton should take a bit longer to cook in the soup, and the pork was also very tender. The wonton noodles are thin, flavorful noodles. Vermicelli is a very thin, noodle I personally don't like all that much. And the other noodles are are self-explanatory.
Excellent and authentic. Soup was great, as were the potstickers.
Family of four $20, can you beat that? Server was very helpful with recommendations for us and our kiddies.

King Noodle is a small inconspicuous delicious and busy restaurant. Located right off of Jackson st. in the heart of the International District. My other half and I love this place. I get to satisfy my cravings for weird meats here, they offer kidneys, intestines, pork skin and other combinations of not so adventurous meats as well. Ordering is simple and you just check what you want off lists of different broths, noodles, meats and vegetables. The portions are huge so be mindful of what you are checking off. The noodle bowls are my usual security blanket when dining at King Noodle, however their menu is vast with tons of stone rice pot options, huge potstickers, veggie sides and decadent rice porridge. And you can wash it all down with delicious bubble tea. The best time to go is later in the evening or there will be a wait..

Amazing selection! You can choose your own noodles and soup!

... I was very impressed with the food at this place. Concept is pretty cool as well. Upon sitting down instead of getting a normal menu you receive a pencil/crayon and a paper menu with check boxes. You select the type of noodle, broth, protein and veggies for your order
kind of the Subway of Chinese noodle houses.

So do I recommend King Noodle? Hell yes! Sure, not everything is exceptional, but it’s solid. And for the price, unbeatable.

First, there's an interesting assortment of six soup bases: chicken broth, original fish soup, hot spicy, Szechuan spicy, sour & hot, and Thai tom yum goong. Next six noodle choices: (rice) vermicelli, flat rice noodles, QQ noodles, udon, instant

Pan fired pork and chive dumplings were great. I had flat noodles with duck and chicken in a chicken broth. It was like eating amazing soup from the past.

Delicious!. We were walking around scoping out the different restaurants and this was the only one that appealed to us. You get to choose the noodle, broth, and different toppings you want. It was very tasty!
The place is a bit too small. The back of my chair was touching the guy's chair behind me and he kept shaking and moving, which was a bit annoying.
If we are in Seattle again, we definitely stop by!
Truthteller
Best Fried Dumplings Ever!. But even more delicious was the house special the day we went, a thick lamb stew...succulent meat, perfectly spiced broth and wonderful, colorful veggies. It was delightful, as well as a great, authentic ambiance. Will be back!

So easy to personalize!. LOVE this place, it's a regular lunch rotation for me. You get to pick your soup broth, noodles and toppings. Ideal. I've tried many combos and loved (almost) all.

I always add peanuts from the side topping bar as well. Delish.

3 people, 3 soups, 3 appetizers, 3 hot teas, 1 congee, 1 red bean drink, $60 included $10 tip. We all appreciated the interior design and decorating. Bathroom was spotless. Brisket in our soup, pot stickers, beef shank salad and congee w/ egg and pumpkin were the standouts. Losing all the spicy broth when soup leftovers were packed togo was a belated disappointment. I would have paid for another container. Seriously.

Loved it.. Delicious home made pot stickers. Nice sized bowl of soup made to your specs. Pick your broth, noodle type then contents. No excuse not to get exactly what you want here. Very clean place. (including the rest room). We arrived at 3 pm. After we were catered to he chefs in the kitchen actually came out and ate their lunches at a distant table. Neat to see the employess thought highly enough of the food to actually eat it as well. The prices are very reasonable. Would definately return.
