Delicious food. Flavors were spectacular. Innovative experience. Eduardo Jordan was in the window finishing dishes which was awesome to see. Staff was hustling working hard. My water glass was constantly filled. I love the location. I will be returning when I'm in town again to try more of the menu. Loved it.
Wonderful experience here. Nothing but praise for the dishes and service. At least they are transparent about the automatic service charge on the website so no complaints there. The experience equaled the fee. The next time I'm in Seattle I'll come back to explore the menu.
Madison was our server, she was delightful. As a table of 3 we shared everything. My favorites were the pig ears and the fried chicken... It's double fried. Drinks were on point.
If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in Seattle, look no further than Junebaby Restaurant. This Southern-inspired eatery offers a menu that is both inventive and authentic, with dishes that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates.
From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service is impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to assist with recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is unforgettable.
But let’s talk about the food. The menu at Junebaby is outstanding, with a focus on classic Southern dishes with a modern twist. Highlights include the fried catfish, the pulled pork sandwich, and the buttermilk biscuits with apple butter. The flavors are bold, rich, and perfectly balanced–it’s clear that the kitchen takes great care to source the best ingredients and prepare each dish with care.
Overall, Junebaby is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves great food, exceptional service, and an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The pig ear salad was so good I almost cried. Fried chicken was really flavorful and crispy. Top notch service too.
World Class place here in Seattle.
These photos are from my visits here in 2018 once in June the other time was in September.
It only took me 5 years to figure out these google reviews. I haven’t been back but I probably should. There food was so good. They put a lot of thought and love into each plate. PB & J Ice cream sandwich was 🔥🔥🔥
This restaurant was highly recommended by a Seattle friend. We were not deceived. A must for foodies. The service was attentive and warm. We loved the flavours. Crab salad, carrots, shrimp and catfish were perfect. Worth the trip.
Being a new parent you only get so many chances for nights out with your spouse. Boy oh boy were we glad we picked Junebaby for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. The staff was attentive to our arrival providing a quick greeting as we arrived. We were promptly seated (reservations recommended). The ordering process was smooth and not rushed which allowed us to enjoy each course at our own pace, sharing recommended.
The beverage list was the perfect size which made ordering a breeze as we are very indecisive.
We shared the biscuits to start and they were by far the best damn biscuits I’ve had in my life. Pillowy on the inside with a perfect crisp as you bite in, and don’t get me started in that cane syrup you drizzle over every bite.
Next courses came together, Pig ears over apple jam and Hot chicken over white bread and pickles. Simple concepts on paper but each dish executed with perfection. Each providing a journey of sweet, crispy, savory, pickled, creamy, savory.
Lastly our main was the Oxtails with a side of black eyed peas with trotters. The combination was a warm southern hug that you never want to let go of. It was my entry into oxtails and man oh man have I been missing out. The peas were fantastic as well.
We finalized dinner with a slice of hummingbird cake (not pictured) but highly recommend.
Overall we had one of the best experiences we’ve had out in years. Thank you JuneBaby. Keep on doing your thing!!!
We had the gumbo, catfish and fried chicken(served only on Sundays), biscuits, and cornbread . Everything was very hearty and filling. We couldn't fit in dessert but wish we could. The drink menu looked delicious... actually everything looked good, I had a hard time deciding what to get. Get there early for seating because the venue is on the smaller side, yet very cozy. There was beautiful art on the wall. Bathrooms clean, service was excellent and food DELICIOUS. We will be back.
One of the best meals I’ve had in Seattle. Interesting cocktails, then smoked carrots… ridiculously good buttermilk biscuits and cast iron corn bread… crispy pigs ears (similar to bacon in flavor)… lemon pepper catfish and a special fried duck leg. It was incredible!! Highly recommended.
I don’t know where to start. My friends and I ate here last night and OMG 10/10!! The food, the service, the atmosphere. We all left saying this was the best dining experience we’ve all had. We ordered the biscuits, pimento cheese, fried oysters, smoked carrots, catfish, oxtail, gumbo, Mac and cheese, carrot cake, and peach turnover. This was some of the best food I’ve had from a restaurant in a very long. Everything was cooked to perfection and you could taste every element that was paired with each dish. I wish we would’ve took photos but we ate and left no crumbs just like they did preparing our food. I could go on and on but I will end with this, if you haven’t put June Baby on your list to try, you need to and while you’re at it put it at the top.
For starters, I love the menu of elevated southern cuisine. I popped in one night while visiting Seattle. The cornbread with sorghum butter had an excellent crust on top and was well-balanced/not very sweet. It could have been a tad bit more moist, but overall it was very tasty. The oxtails, as expected, were super tender and melted in my mouth. The flavors of the broth and veggies surrounding it were amazing! That's really where they separated themselves from your standard Southern restaurant. This meal felt like a solid 4.5/5. I'm not a local, so I don't know when I'll be able to come back and re-assess. I'm definitely rounding up and I'd be glad to come back and try more of the menu. In the meantime, do me a favor, and you try it for me!
Absolutely as great as it is raved to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This southern gem is loaded with goodies from baked goods to fried pig ears and oxtails. The food is refined, the environment is relaxed, and the prices are right. You must absolutely stop here for good food. Bring as many people as possible and try everything on the menu. Don’t worry if they’ve already run out of the fried chicken. Everything else is amazing and 100% worth your visit. We loved the buns, the pig ears, and the oxtails, but everything was great. Will definitely return for more visits.
I enjoyed supporting another chef. The food was good, but the friendliness of the chef, as well as my server, was top-notch. Would definitely recommend
This is the best food I've eaten in my entire life. The jerk chicken pork chop made me convert away from Judaism. The short ribs were better than any bbq I've eaten in Texas. Simply an amazing restaurant, everything we ate was heavenly.
My wife and I had our date night here. We totally loved it. From the customer service to the experience to the food. If it is summer, ask if you can sit outside. The food was mostly southern type food with a twist of innovative cooking. Server took his time to explain to us all the ingredients in the food and how each meal is prepared.
Street parking is available and easy to find on weekends else you can park a few blocks away and walk to the restaurant. Not sure about weekdays.
Apparently the chef had won some globally recognized awards for his food and menu. Totally recommended. Prices are a bit on the high side, so be prepared. There is an automatic 20% charge for gratuity.
Wow — amazing service, incredible food. We got their for the Sunday special (which sells out by 7pm!) Holy Fried Chicken which was awesome. Honestly the soup that came with it was fantastic, and the whole dish was PLENTY for the 2 of us. We’re fans!
