Review Racha Noodles And Thai - Seattle

Absolutely stunning quality ingredients. Solid menu, decent prices. Great service. They were a little light on their Thai chili though. A three star was more like a one star at other spots we frequent. Overall, it was an awesome Thai restaurant.

The food was good, except the chicken wings, we didn't like them much as they tastes like they have been boiled before frying. Everything else was good.

Good tasty food, Decent Prices, Good Service, Good Portions, glad Racha is still in the area since they moved from the other side.

Today I try the newest item, prawns pad pon karee. Taste very very good. Go well with white jasmine rice. Yummy.😁😁

I just came back to Seattle after 8 days in Thailand. Racha is definitely as authentic and tasty Thai as you can get in the US. The servers working here are all so friendly and professional. Food arrived really quickly. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable. Great local Thai restaurant. Decor was also nice.

Affordable Thai food that tastes great

The Thai restaurant that got me hooked on Thailand. It is still there in lower Queen Anne after a couple of decades. Green curry was exactly what I needed for my return trip. Staff were very welcoming.

I'm positively elated Racha survived the pandemic. Although, to do it, they downsized to a smaller less charming space across the street. The food is still 5 stars. I've never, ever, had a bad meal at Racha. The service can be a bit slow depending on who waits on your table. If you need to make a show be sure to add a little extra time. Alas, some of the ambiance is missing from the before times space, but console yourself with a nice Pad Thai, Red Curry, or other favorite dish.

The food was delicious and prepared very fast. Our waiter was really sweet. We would definitely recommend going here!

Pad see ew was excellent. We were seated and served very quickly. They have fountain coke products which is a plus for me!

I came in to try their lunch special and it was amazing. Great service, great food, and they're quick. I got the crispy garlic chicken and it is great. I will definitely be back to try more. Check them out!

FOOD
They serve delicious Thai food. I have been here numerous times and not once I was disappointed. Their rice preparations are great, nothing extraordinary though.

SERVICE
The servers were courteous and friendly.

AMBIANCE
It has a quiet, cozy ambiance much like any other Thai restaurant in the city.

Me and my wife went for lunch (both vegetarian) and hence had some reservations in my mind .While placing the order we told them that we don't eat meat so they prepared our dish accordingly .We ordered fresh rolls and Pud Kee Mao. Both were nice and delectable.

Racha never fails to deliver! I went for lunch with friends last week and it was solid! It had been a few years since I had been there and the quality and service is as good as it has always been. Great lunch or dinner @ Racha.

A friend introduced me to this spot a few months ago. I like their Pud Woon Sen, it reminds me of the dish my friend's mom (from Cambodia) made back home. The massaman curry was also delicious though next time I'll order it a bit spicier. Overall a lovely little spot by my standards, good food and good service. I'll be back!

Personally, I think this place makes great Thai food. The pad thai here is great. There are a bunch of Thai places in Seattle that just can't seem to nail this staple. Racha may not be anything crazy but it nails the basics. Service is always quick and friendly.

We really hesitate to head out for curry, as it's a staple in our cooking repertoire - sort of our emergency food. But when we found ourselves at the Queen Anne Racha recently, we decided to give the exotic sounding Jungle Curry a try. It's not that it wa

Expected great Thai food and was not disappointed !

Service was spot on but the .... Service was friendly and warm but what the kitchen was rendering seemed off. The calamari appetizer arrived on a cloud of odiferous funk, reminiscent of days gone bye. The noodle soup entree's broth was flavorful but was quickly absorbed by the excessive volume of noodles. A bite of curiously foul pork ended the meal for me. I racked my brain for some excuse, some combination of herb or spice that could mimic rancidity and came up empty. Our corner of the dining area smelled of fish sauce on a return trip from the washroom. Old squid, old pig, old fish sauce on the carpet.

My Koa Soy didn't even contain the main ingredient that makes the dish. Nobody at the table thought their dishes were spicy enough. There is at least one far better Thai option within a block or two.

Transportation?? No. Not even close.. When I go to any Thai restaurant I expect good food to be served. Racha used to have good food a few years back but not any more.
Racha has turned into a total disappointment.
In fact, there were no ethnic Thai or asian people there except for the employees.
EVERYONE (including me) ON THE NIGHT I WAS IN WAS CAUCASIAN and most were in their 60's.
When you come in the door you will see that the owner of Racha went way further that many Thai restaurants do with the decor until you look about 25 feet up and see where the artwork on the walls ends and the black hole of the ceiling begins, interlaced with the air conditioning and heating ductwork (industrial Thai??). They need to put some type of faux ceiling up.
Racha has turned into a Thai restaurant that has totally "dumbed down" the food. If you ask for 3 stars you get one half star and you get charged a very high price for the food.
I had the "Showering Rama" and boy did I get soaked. Price:$12.50 (if you want the seafood option for the meal the price is bumped up to $14.50 or even $16.50) for gloppy peanut sauce over an ample amount of luke warm chicken and spinach that could have been washed better (one mouthful of food was a bit "gritty") and as mentioned before only a little itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny bit of heat.
You wouldn't pay over ten dollars for this meal at any other self respecting Thai restaurant but the place is huge and and on LQA they can certainly charge a premium price in this neighborhood.
Do you want rice with your meal? It costs you an extra $1.95 if it's not part of the dish you ordered! Also, they don't give you any condiments with your meal. A little Sri Racha would have been nice.
One positive comment, they do have a decent selection of beer and wine and it is resonably priced.
Service: Attentive but rushed. They seem to want you in and out fast.
One other comment: If you own a Thai restaurant wouldn't you want to play some thai music over the sound system for your customers to listen too?
I mean, Chuck Berry's "Run, Run, Rudolph" was one of the christmas music selections they were playing.
Racha, I thank you (LOL) for transporting me to St. Louis, Missouri (Chuck Berry's hometown) instead of Bangkok, Thailand.
The to go menu says this on the front: "Spend an enchanted evening in Thailand, without ever leaving Seattle." HA!
I'm not sure, but you could probably fly to Thailand more cheaply than what you would pay for some of their dishes.
Good luck the rest of the way to you Racha.

Had the chicken pud thai this time and was absolutely delicious. Service and food is outstanding. When in Seattle, I come here.

Over-priced and bland!. I ordered a peanut-sauce dish with shrimp and "other seafood" which turned out to be very tough to chew squid. Very disappointing. Overall, over-priced. I've had much better Thai food in neighborhood strip malls. I was expecting more for an upscale area. Appears they are taking advantage of the Seattle Center event crowd. Not impressed.

Poor service but good food. The lunch combinations are attractively priced...Lunch is usually accompanied by free starters and dessert...the small spoon of ice cream is so refreshing....But the dinner portions are over priced...They take a lot of time to even notice you have showed up and seat you, but the food tastes good.....

Great atmosphere. The best calamari I've ever had. I had the panang curry, which was also good.

This food was absolutely fantastic! I had the beef massaman curry and wow! Great service!

Best thai in seattle. I love thai food and this is the best! it's a little more expensive than other thai restaurants, but it's worth it. It has an upscale atmosphere, good service, and wonderful flavors! I especially love their Tom Ka Gai (sp?) soup!

Superb. I've eaten here with friends whenever we're here to see a show and have always enjoyed the sophisticated atmosphere, hospitality and delicious food.

Favorites are the moo prik king, with string beans and pork stir fried with hot curry paste, seasoned with fresh thai basil. Pad thai was also excellent, though I'm more of a pad see iew fan (which is also wonderful).

Staff is attentive and friendly, and the open, glass encased kitchen makes for an interesting viewing.

It was a pleasant surprise to receive a complimentary dessert after our meal - a lady was making crepes with coconut and bananas which finished our meal on a high note.

Nah.... I love Thai food. Not here though. I had the Yellow Curry...it was basically curry soup, nothing inside of the bowl. Yes, there were a few pieces of chicken, carrots and the usual goodies, but for the price, I certainly did not have the amount of food I was expecting. Not only that, but it just wasn't very tasty...nor spicy. I asked for 3.5* and it was like 1*....not too sure about this one. I might go back only to try the pad thai...but who knows. I think I might put my sights on some other local thai restaurants.

Hit or Miss. When the moon and stars are aligned this is a great place! Unfortunately this doesn't happen very often. I have eaten at Racha 6 times in the last year. The best service is at the bar. Table service is pretty sketchy.
The food is acceptable, although a bit bland. I always order 5 star. One of the best dishes in my opinion is the Phad Tai Woo Sen.
The best time to visit there is after 7 pm. That is when most have moved on to whatever event is going on at the Key Arena.

Salt, please. The food at Racha would be half way decent if they actually used a commonly known ingredient called SALT. From the egg rolls, to the breading on the calamari, to the crab fried rice.... all they needed was a bit of seasoning and they probably would have been ok. This is the blandest Thai food I've ever had. The only items that were ok (in the two times we've been there), were the curries, but it's difficult to under season a curry when you start with curry paste and coconut milk. I thought the service was ok, not outstanding, but not horrible.... just mediocre, kind of like the food.

2 for 1. Best part of this restaurant is that they give Microsofties a 2 entrees for the price of 1 deal. So if you don't work there, just make a friend who does.

All-around good value. I've ony eaten dinner at Racha once, but have lunched there at least twenty times. The service is consistently good, the food is tasty if not spectacular, and the value in particular is quite high. Diners are greeted with creative soups that change frequently, as well as fresh spring rolls in a zesty marinade. The lunch combinations at around $9 are a good value for the portions, and the meal ends with cookies and ice cream. As for a recent diner's experience at a 12-top right before the ballet, I think one needs to consider the circumstances. Give Racha a try.

Mediocre food, horendous service, why bother?. I'll never return. The decor is charming, but the food is mediocre and overpriced and the staff has to be told how to run a business. Go to any of the surrounding restaurants. They may not have neon or murals, but they all know how to treat their customers.

I was one in a party of 12 to go to Racha Thai before a 7:00 pm curtain at the ballet. We arrived at 5:15. It took a half hour to get water on the table.

By 6:00, most everyone was eating except for me. Our server wasn't seen again for almost a half hour. When he came to the table I asked him about my meal. He asked me what I ordered, and a look of panic came over his face. He never ordered my food. He didn't admit it. He didn't say anything. He left the table and wasn't seen until my food was ready.

Fifteen minutes later my food arrived with the bill. They had also forgotten the meal of the friend who invited me. Both his and my dishes were on the bill. My friend got up and spoke to our server to see about comping our meals. The server said he would go "talk to the manager" about it.

Our server came back to the table to inform me that he would give us a 20% discount on the two entrees. Three bites into my meal with 15 minutes to finish, I set my fork down, looked him in the eye, and said "That is no way to run a business."

I worked in hospitality for years. Early in my hospitality career, I forgot an entire meal or two. I promptly admitted my gaffe, and the meal was comped. I even suggested a free dessert.

When you are solely responsible for making someone late to the ballet, you give them their meal for free.

He came back and said that the 2 late entrees we taken from the bill.
