Great spot for dinner. Went on a date here and we both enjoyed it. We ordered the Bucatini all'Amatriciana, Carbonara, Pappardelle, Steak, Chicken and the Funghi pizza with sausage added. I was really looking forward to the Carbonara since I love that dish so much. It was pretty average. The other food was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly. The chicken was full of flavor and was succulent! I felt the steak was expensive for what we got.
The service was good even though they were busy.
We would go back.
The ambience is probably what I would go here for again.
There was a gnocchi appetizer the name of which I can't recollect but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. For mains, we ordered the funghi pizza and it was amazing! Perfectly thin and flavorful. For dessert, I would recommend the tiramisu.
the meat was delicious! I don't like the Carbonara dish just because of a personal taste in the thickness of the pasta.
however the food is very good
We celebrated an anniversary here and had a wonderful time! We arrived before our reservation but the host was able to find a table for us. While not always possible it was a very nice way to start!
Our booth for two was comfortable, the ambiance was lovely and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The assortment of cocktails and NA beverages was good the both pasta dishes we had were delicious! Save room for the tiramisu!
We both plan on going back again soon!
We didn't make a reservation since we didn't know one was needed(tourists). We sat outside as it was the only area where they had a table available. The hostess forgot to tell the waiter about us, we did wait quite a while for him before we complained. The food was great, super tasty. We did the feast experience, although I wish we hadn't, it was simply way too much food. They do mean it when they say feast. We had to get the pizza and dessert to go. Honestly we didn't like seating outside, too many people walking by. Also a lot of homeless around which I guess is an ongoing problem in Capital Hill from what we saw, it really takes away from the experience. Giving 5 stars because the waiter did apologize for the bad experience and made it right. Also because the food was definitely worth 5 stars. We will go back to Capitol Hill again and when we do we will make a reservation here.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Consistently good food and service. Good happy hour deals (including full appetizers and entrees). I have caught up with friends over dinner and celebrated anniversaries at this cute restaurant located in a quieter part of Capitol Hill.
Among my favorite dishes are the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, and bucatini amatriciana. The restaurant usually has a selection of seasonal desserts and a couple of good mocktail options.
Best time in Seattle and the atmosphere was all laughs and good vibes. We probably were an unorthodox crew with folks joining in haphazardly but the staff was very accommodating. We had a late arrival who swung through the window and the staff was really nice to give him napkins so he could sit comfortably on the window ledge (his choice, he declined the chair “fast get away” 🤣).
TL;DR: If you want a good time hanging out with friends with good food. This place is the spot to be!!
Been a long my time since I had a great laugh so appreciate the restaurants flexibility and fun staff!! 🥳
-Atmosphere 5 stars out of 5
-Temperature inside 2 stars, way too cold
-High ceiling, love it!
-Food 3.5 stars, just mediocre at best. Everything did not taste bad, but they did not wow us at all. Margherita pizza was just pizza. Bucatini alla Amatriciana was nothing special except the pasta noodles. Sauce was just meh; but noodle texture was 110% amazing. Extra points on noodles
Overall, because food did not impress us much, I don’t think we will return. Atmosphere was enjoyable truly but I wouldn’t go back just because vibe was good. At the end of the day this is a restaurant and food has to be better.
Fantastic happy hour deals and the service is always quick and friendly. I would say the charcuterie board isn't worth it but the other apps, like fried gnocchi definitely are!
The pasta is great!
I love Rione so much. It’s always excellent. The happy hour deal is one of the best in Seattle, and dinner service is so fun. We split a pizza and a pasta and ordered a couple apps between two of us and honestly it was too much! Pizza leftovers like this in the morning are on another level. Fun drinks, cozy vibe inside, great heated patio.
