Great little place! Had the crepe with apple, brie, walnut, and maple and it was outstanding. Wife had a great waffle. Get the blueberry ginger juice.
LOVE!!! This little gem has great people, yummy unique food & coffee drinks for the most sophisticated palate! (At very reasonable prices)! I love the cuisine (crepes, soup, sandwiches...) made fresh & to order! Savory (Field Roast is available) Sweet, cozy & laid-back! Definitely on my "favs" list!!!
I found a hidden gem in Georgetown called The Hangar Café and I can't wait to go back. Its a breakfast and lunch place. I've been kind of big on breakfast and brunch lately so this place hit the spot. They serve crepes which I love. I had a Black Forest Ham with Spinach. My family was celebrating Father's Day and we wanted something memorable to celebrate my husband's first year as a dad. We started with Mango Mimosas and coffee. We'd never drank Mango Mimosas before and the drink got our meal started on the right foot. I really enjoyed my ham crepe, the size alone was awesome and the potatoes served with it a nice touch. My husband ate a Rueben Sandwich and thought the flavor was really right on. For dessert we shared the special of the day, Bread Pudding French Toast. The French Toast was huge and we couldn't even finish it. It was topped with blueberries and raspberries, turning our carb lovers dream into something sort of healthy. The unique aspect of the café is that
Above expectations!. 10 points for the great service
10 points for the cute fresh flowers on the table
10 points for the excellent food
10 points for the music
10 points for the good price
so far that's a perfect score!
I found this place here on UrbanSpoon, needless to say, I was a little skeptical that with 380 votes it was at 94%... We went and let me tell you, this place is fantastic.
The Vanilla Latte I got was the best I've ever had... Period. I followed that with a Roast Beef Savory Crepe.... It was made with fresh ingredients, it was cooked perfectly and was mouth watering.... The staff was friendly, quick, and attentive. I would not hesitate to eat breakfast here everyday for the rest of my life....
This place is a tasty hidden gem! My husband and I are here on our honeymoon, wanting to sample local foods at their best. Our waitress is a lovely, jovial woman who made us feel like regulars. Their mocha is phenomenal: smooth, dark, and strong. My turkey sandwich and green salad was delicious and hit the spot, and my husband's market crepe was packed with flavor. We will definitely come back to the Hangar next time we're in town!
Amazing food and good coffee. It takes awhile to get your order but well worth the wait. The hangar crepe is amazing. Tight seating quarters but I dot mind sitting next to a stranger while enjoying the amazing food.
My Dilemma. Do I keep quiet about this hidden gem and potentially have them go out of business (hopefully not anytime soon) or do I let people know about it and lose my place in line?
Hangar is easy to find; just a few yards north of Boeing Field’s runway. It’s also easy to overlook as it’s tucked away into the living and dining rooms of a small house. I found it to be cozy inside. In a good way. Al fresco dining is easily handled in the yard.
My Mimosa arrived in a Mason jar. Very nice. Personally, I like my drink to last my meal, which it did. I have paid much more for much smaller mimosas. I had both the Roast Beef Crêpe and the Market Crêpe (I also had help eating). Both were delicious. We were able to taste the crêpes, eggy and buttery very tender.
In the Market Crêpe, the fillings were distinct with plenty of fresh spinach, which is way better than cooked in that application. The sauce was bright, floral, and not too hot. The fillings were also distinct in the Roast Beef Crêpe. The crème fraiche complemented the horseradish sauce, which was properly bold.
Both dishes came with cubed roasted potatoes that were well herbed. Unlike many places, the plate wasn’t overwhelmed potatoes; the focus was properly on the crêpe.
The Apple Brie Dessert Crêpe was delicious, generously portioned, although the type of apple wasn’t quite right in this application. I felt that something other than a Golden Delicious would probably work better.
In summary, these are obviously homemade foods with a lot of attention to detail. Somehow, the generous portions don’t require a takeout box as you find yourself joining the Clean Plate Club.
There is a meat substitute available for an extra couple of bucks. The way it should be.
Lastly, a word on etiquette for you newbies, it’s only proper to let me cut in front of you. After all, I did steer you here. Thus, my dilemma is solved.
Délicieuses Crêpes. This is a little quaint and warm place for lunch. The services from the waiters are top notch too. I had the Turkey pesto crepe and it is delicious. They add an egg inside along with the turkey ham and tomatoes which made it succulent. Will be going back for more crepes, waffles and panini sandwiches for sure!
Great crepes and waffles. The triple B is a savory favorite. They feature the amazing Zoka coffee.
Excellent crepes! I had the special savory crepe: turkey, caramel used onions, spinach and Brie topped with jam and crime fraiche. Even their beverages are great!
Quaint and cozy with a very diverse menu. We met friends there for Sunday breakfast and the place accommodated a table of 7 for us without a sweat! Can't wait to go back!
Cute place & Delicious Crepes!. Hangar Cafe makes the best crepes. It's worth the drive to try this once if you live anywhere in the Seattle area (I drive up from Renton often). The restaurant is quaint and cozy but pretty small, so there can be a wait for breakfast on weekends. The savory crepes are equally as good as the sweet crepes, so I'd try both if you can (get one to go). My personal favorites are the pear & brie crepe, as well as the turkey pesto crepe. My husband likes the coconut/chocolate/banana. I have never tried the waffles because the crepes are too good to pass up, but based on other reviews looks like I must try those too!
Stumptown Coffee... Nuff said!. We the famished four(FF) did really like this little joint, you can read more at jimrobey-sundaybreakfast.blogspot.com
Crepe Love. My wife and I dropped in for a late breakfast on an outing to the Museum of Flight; we pretty much had the cafe to ourselves since it was a weekday. We both had the savory crepe special of the day - and we could taste the fresh! The "intimate" setting means that you can watch your crepe being made and it doesn't sit there going cold and soggy once it's made, like some places we could mention.
It's out of our way, but we could imagine making a trip out again just to experience it. Definitely a hidden gem.
Perfect for Georgetown. Third time at this place.... I can recommend the crepes for certain!! I loved the savory ones with varied and interesting fillings carmalized onions, fresh spinach, cambazola. Fresh fruit tumbling off the waffles... My dining partner this last visit hemmed and hawed the plates didn't match, every salt and pepper was different, and what no bacon and eggs on the menu..... those are some of the postive attributes of this small kitschy place.... I thought
Cozy Crepey Brunch. I came back here alone for brunch on a weekday. Walk up the ramp into the little cottage and see mismatched quaint decor, each table has its own funny little salt & pepper shaker set. Sit on a pillowed bench that used to be a church pew, and watch the careful preparation of your Hangar Crepe! Meet a friend here to catch up and sip coffee.
Yay! Best breakfast I've had in Seattle in almost a year! I will be back!
First of all u go to lunch for social events and to catch with collegues, second u want to leave not feeling like a truck ran over- long story short the crepe is outstanding!!!!!
What a cute place. Nice indoor seating and even nicer outdoor garden seating. Service was lovely and the Hangar crepe with the poblano pesto was delicious. There's no reason not to become a regular if you live in Columbia City, Beacon Hill, or Georgetown.
Charming!. Cute place, so much charm. Staff is so friendly, and the food is super tasty! I highly recommend it.
LOVE this place. Oh my god...this place rocks! we went there today and had crepes, waffles and fruit. all really really good. i have to mention the fruit...fresh raspberries, blackberries, necterine, kiwi...um...now that's fruit!
great coffee too! the young man who helped us was really nice too!
we be going back soon!
Seriously amazing, these are some tasty crepes. I went there for lunch and returned with my family the next day for breakfast. Awesome.
Great portions. I had a delicious banana waffle here. the atmosphere took me back home, literally...this cafe is located inside a tiny house really close to the airport, hence the name. i thought the service was excellent and i loved the portions...
Great little place. Took my visiting brother there for breakfast and was very happy. We shared two different breakfast crepes, and they were both outstanding. A cozy, homey atmosphere, good coffee, and nice employees rounded out the experience. I'd definitely go again if I was in the neighborhood.
Great Food!. Stopped in today for lunch with some friends. Didn't really know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! Two of us had crepes and two of us had Rueben’s. The crepes were amazing and I was told that the Rueben was great as well!
Nice little place close to my office. I will be back!
Love the crepes!. We had breakfast here last weekend and loved it. The Hangar crepe is delicious and filling. The pumpkin waffle was just right - not too "pumkiny" and served steaming hot. Good lattes. Can't wait to return to try some of the other crepes and the Reuben sandwich.
This place is low-key casual, unpretentious, but with delicious food and great service. It’s fun to sit in the outside, under heat lamps and provided blankets, and listen to the planes fly over. I enjoyed a cup of coffee, shared a piece of the most delicious coffee cake with one of my best friends, and tried one of their savory crepes. Everything was on point. True Seattle small neighborhood cafe vibes.
LOVELY! The food was great and the employees were super friendly.
There was about a 30 min wait, so we got on the list and picked up coffees and walked around nearby (lots of neat shops to check out)
We were seated outside which is a nice garden area. Our orders were taken quickly and food can put in a reasonable amount of time. And it was GREAT! The crepe I had was SO GOOD, will be coming back again for sure.
The food here is delicious, and worth the wait. If restaurant ratings were solely about food, this place would be a 5/5 for sure. The overall service here is good, as the staff are friendly, and keep the wait for tables moving. I will say though that the wait for food was way too long. It must have taken a good 45min+ to receive our food after placing our order, and I personally think that’s a bit much for crepes and brunch foods. I would come here again since overall experience was very nice!
Went out of my way to come here from Tacoma and was not disappointed. Tony, the owner was so sweet she surprised me with this cinnamon strussel cake because it was my birthday. Had a blast would def come again
I’ve been here multiple times and can confirm this is some of the best brunch in Seattle. The atmosphere is homey and the food is top notch! You can tell they care about what they do and are passionate about food and hospitality. 10/10.
I went early Saturday morning, and I enjoyed the asthetic. The decorations look nice. I had a Monte Christo Crepe that was very nice and savory. It may take a while to get your food, but everything here is made fresh to order.
Great little spot for crepes and brewed coffee. Not for people in a rush! Take your time and enjoy the atmosphere and food. They use fresh, real ingredients.
Went here for lunch with my boyfriend and was welcomed by such lovely staff. The back patio is super cute. Planes fly frequently above this place, so don’t freak out if you hear one overhead. The portion size of the special daily crepe I got was quite large (I took leftovers home), and it was really delicious and flavorful. I would definitely come back here again.
Step past their fence & into a beautiful mix of country home & northwest glade. This ain't a city coffeeshop but a homely diner where you're encouraged by the staff to sit down & relax for a while. If you're craving some southern hospitality near the salish sea, this is the spot!
Note: While writing this review, one stranger said to another, "Are we ever gonna be ready to leave this café?" & they responded,"If it were up to me, never!"
Phenomenal!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. There's limited inside seating but a cute covered patio in a back garden with heat lamps and blankets for when it gets colder. We've gone plenty of times and everything we've ever had was excellent, really fresh and delicious and cooked perfectly. There's usually a wait on the weekend and service takes time with such a tiny kitchen, so be prepared (they'll give an estimate and text when table's ready) but it's 1000% worth it. Would happily eat every item on the menu, you can't go wrong here!
Worth the 1 hour wait I had the Triple B and was delicious always love brie basil and bacon flavor together and I also had hot chocolate and the whipping cream they use tasted home made making it that much better if you can come here instead of IHOP its a limited menu but what they have is better so i say quality over quantity. Enjoy
Loved the place! Yummy waffles and food, super friendly staffs, and great patio seating.
Charming little breakfast haunt in Georgetown. Delicious crepes and waffles. Outdoor seating reminiscent of a European cafe.
Staff are very friendly and the food is great! Not over priced like many other cafe / restaurants in Seattle. Quick service not super busy.
All round, a very nice experience. Recommend.
-Food: A splendid combination of elsewhere worldly and georgetown. Delightfully original and fully devoured.
-Service: Unobtrusive and easy. Not speedy.
-Atmosphere: A sight for sore eyes. Rare subtleties.
Positive energy galore. Ultra fine patio complete with blankets, heaters, and low flying air-craft.
This place is so cute! The portions are massive and the crepe was everything I wanted. They were able to do it dairy free for me, no problem!
The Hanger Cafe was a delight! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and giant portions of food with excellent hot sauce choices. Would recommend if you are looking to do a leisurely breakfast or lunch. 😊
